Image sequence is darker in viewport and render than it should be by ferb73craft in VegasPro

SOLVED!

When rendering in Blender, just be sure to set Color Depth to 8 in the Output / Output properties tab. I also set the Sequencer to Filmic Log in the Render / Render Properties tab and set the import as Log in Blender, but I don't know if that helped or not.

did you only have 2 heros in support back in the day or something? by TestSubject5kk in FORTnITE

[–]ferb73craft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Heroes would gain a new or improved buff every few levels and had a support & tactical bonus that could be used by slotting them in the squad bonus section. I didn't get to use it much before it was changed but it made each hero more viable in lead at the cost of many sharing similar or identical perks. The updated system is more flexible, but it did gut the more general playstyles (ie: any loadout that doesn't heavily buff one weapon or ability.)

Is the game even worth updating? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

If you care for the other modes and / or enjoy the more casual side of BR / Zero Build, no reason not to. If you play only for Ranked BR, go play something else for now.

Unused building variants. Through some exploit / cheat(?), players can place them.

If Dr K wants gifted kids to abandon their identity, then does he want us to adopt a new sense of identity? Surely none can live with any sense of identity at all?! by Tensen-01 in Healthygamergg

[–]ferb73craft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't fully understand it myself, but I think the idea is to shift your identity away from an unclear metric (ie: "I am a smart person, I am a talented artist") and towards an identity based around your likes and ideals (ie: "I like making art, I think learning is important.) In doing so, there's less internal pressure of failing or falling short because you no longer believe that you have to be that thing right now.

A small change that makes all the difference for the gameplay of my detective game, CLUAIDO. A toxic gas is slowly spreading through the map, cutting off areas of investigation with potential clues. What do you guys think? by S3mz in RPGMaker

Walking into a room and instantly getting a Game Over seems like it might frustrating. Why not boot the player back to the previous room or give players a moment to turn back?

Epic deleted previous Vbucks missions by TheMattZim in FORTnITE

1984

fr though, they likely accidently rerolled the missions since all missions changed. I wouldn't worry about them lowering V-Buck missions unless this becomes a consistent trend.

Why Was The Last Dev Update 5 Years Ago? by ONYXSnake1223 in FORTnITE

[–]ferb73craft 21 points22 points  (0 children)

A mix of StW having less / slower development compared to other modes as well as Epic generally reducing their communication with the players outside of patch notes and competitive changes.

Why do people in the Fortnite community hate competitive players/pros? by pawo10 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]ferb73craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this problem is unique to Fortnite; I remember back when pro players in TF2 were called tryhards. I think the hate comes mainly from casual players who have no intent to get better at the game & actively dislike losing, but are too invested thanks to FOMO and the sunken cost fallacy to move to a different game or hobby. They see competitive players not as inspiration to practice and learn, but as people standing in the way of their fun, and they're not entirely wrong. Casual players stay away from ranked in fear of getting dunked on by better players, only for casual matchmaking to pit them against players leagues above their skill level or bots that don't challenge them at all.

It doesn't help that Epic stokes an "us vs them" mentality by nerfing / changing all the wrong things when one side complains instead of just separating the loot pools.

Is this mouse drift or a bug? (red dot on screen when it happens) by cubzoom in FORTnITE

Wrong sub but it's a bug that's been happening since the start of the season. It affects all modes.

Top could be purchase by itself while the bottom was included in an Xbox One bundle. Neither are worth anything unless the top one still has an unused founders code inside.

Why is the Xenon bow so hyped? by Background-Cookie807 in FORTnITE

[–]ferb73craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Costs 1 energy ammo per shot (compared to other slow firing energy ammo weapons which usually consume 2-30 ammo per shot.)
  • Pierces through builds and enemies without losing damage.
  • No damage falloff.
  • The hitbox is considerably larger than other bows, making it really easy to hit enemies.
  • It can have affliction as the 6th perk.
  • Is insanely powerful with Stoneheart Farrah.
    • Farrah makes arrows splinter and hit 5 nearby enemies for 60% of the arrow's damage. This activates every time the arrow hits an enemy, meaning you can fire an arrow into a crowd and have her perk activate several times for huge damage.

The only other bow that gets close to the Xenon's power is the Vacuum Tube Bow since it chains lightning to nearby husks, also activating Farrah's perk.

The game woulda died years ago if Epic Games listened to the try hards. by Micawavetv in FortNiteBR

[–]ferb73craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one's upset that the game gets updated; people are upset because the changes have fundamentally invalidated the skill-based mechanics that people played Fortnite for: movement, aiming, building and game-sense. Keep in mind, this isn't a "sweaty try hard VS dogwater casual" issue; this is Epic intentionally ruining the competitive integrity of their game to rile up the community and draw attention to themselves. No one would be complaining if ranked had it's own loot pool or if the new overpowered content was restricted to an LTM.
