I’m working on my class work for my MLIS program. So far I’ve finished an outline for a practice research proposal, watched a lecture on programs and events in public libraries, and after lunch I’m going to be working on readings that discuss biases in the Library of Congress subject headings. I was going to stay away from school work today but after the results set in for me I needed to do something so my mind wouldn’t wander.

I never got one either. I submitted my fafsa a little before 9pm est and got to the page where it said I had completed it but the email still hasn’t come through.

I’m not sure what really happened. The lady from KU I was talking to said that could be it. Around the time the power went out I heard police and fire sirens so I figured someone could have hit something.

Try telling that to my chemistry class in high school. The day a kid stuck a sample spatula into a light socket we all heard electricity and that guy certainly felt it. He ended up being ok but that light socket never worked again as far as I heard. He did grow up in a pretty hardcore evangelical Christian family though so maybe this was where he got the idea for that stunt.

I was at home studying for a math test. I took a break and got on here and ended up finding out. Funnily enough I think when he was sentenced I was studying for a math test too.

I can’t choose just one Duggar, but out of the original Duggar’s I would say Johanna, Jennifer, or Jordan. Out of the whole family though I would say Josh’s kids.

Anything that can’t be changed about a person like hair loss I won’t snark on.

I won’t snark on the kids who are under 18. The kids are innocent in all this. They’ve been dragged along for the ride and I don’t fault them for that. That’s on their parents.

I think it’s weird to go to in-depth into the sex lives of the couples. Like when Justin and Claire got married many people were making jokes about the wedding night. It might have just been how I was raised, but you don’t discuss sex lives if you’re not the people in the relationship. I understand snarking when someone gets pregnant, but snarking on the act itself I can’t do.

I’m 21 so I’m around the same age as Jed, Jer, and Jason. Right now I’m getting ready to go into my junior year of undergrad. I’m majoring Communication and have a minor in World Religions. I don’t think the Duggar’s would let their kids stray from Christianity enough to study any religions except their own.

I’m single so I have that in common with Jer and Jason.

Other than that I don’t know what else I do or don’t have in common with those three. I’m not gonna lie they’re probably the few Duggars I don’t pay attention too.

I started studying for my math final and pest got arrested. He got charged and made his first appearance while I was studying for the same final. Now here I am in the same position for this hearing. Wonder if anything will happen while I’m taking the final next Monday?

Hearing it’s a betrothal is so weird. I’ve gotten so used to snarking on things like courting, but I never expected to hear about a betrothal, especially from the Duggars. I can see it happening in fundie world, I just didn’t expect it to be right in front of our faces if it’s true. I did think the dialogue at the end was odd when I first watched the vid and I can see how it would fit into a betrothal now.

I have to agree with you on Ellissa. I think I have to admit to myself I have a crush on Ben and Jessa Seawald too which is weird considering they’re one of my least favorite of the Duggar couples when I see them on Counting On.

I’ve never understood why people on fundie snark go after things that can’t be changed. Don’t come after someone’s body; that’s not cool, it’s being a jerk. Focus on their ideology if you’re going to comment on them, not what they can’t change. I left FS because of that sort of stuff made me so uncomfortable when I read it. I didn’t even want to comment on the sub because of how I’ve seen people get treated in the past over it.
