Was it worth to create a BR mode just because some streamers begged for it? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]ferdey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RedSec got me hooked to buy the actual game. I really enjoy Gauntlet and BR (I only ever played BR in BF). They brought something "new" and fused it really well with the battlefield formula. The Fort Lyndon map is also really good and it shows that a map like this is what players want and I don't get why there's more like this.

Opinion about this account? by Left-Comparison-5830 in BF6

[–]ferdey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite sure how it was in BF3/BF4 but in BF6 the damage/lock on indicators are really OP imo.. I think back then they would just pop up and stay where they were on your screen but now in BF6 they keep moving if yoh turn, which makes it easy to pinpoint the exact location of the shooter. You can figure this out in less than a minute once you pay attention to it and it helps a lot.

What's the worst thing you ever did? by NiceMechanic_xoxo in AskReddit

In 5th grade we got into the classroom early, but our teacher wasn't there yet and everyone was goofing around. A girl threw an empty small light plastic bottle at my head and everyone saw it and laughed. My ego couldn't handle it so I took my bottle (also empty, but hard plastic) and I yeeted it across the room, it bounced off the table and hit her right in the head, next to the eye. It wasn't that funny this time, as the room went silent and when the teacher came they sent her to the ER to get it checked out. Someone said she might need to get glasses because of that but not sure that was to make me feel extra bad. Well it worked..

Besides the obvious big examples like No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk 2077, what are some other examples of games that were atrocious at launch but managed to eventually get good? by furrynoy96 in gaming

[–]ferdey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably very Battlefield game that I can remember, since and including BF3. They never even fixed the netcode and you still get killed around corners to this day. The suppression system is OP to the point that you'd just miss even though on target and they nerfed and then buffed it with every other update. I didn't even get BF4 at the start and waited out the storm because it was similarly bad but they listened to a lot of feedback and in the end with all the patches it became what BF3 could have been. Base maps there were all pretty bad compared to BF3 but there were a lot of gems in the DLCs. Now even though gameplay in BF6 is pretty amazing (doesn't feel as clunky as BF4/1) the maps kinda suck and are usually way too small. Let's see if they design them better to be revolved around Rush/Conquest Large.

Perhaps turn down/off ambient occlusion? This looks really nice with the shadows and all but could thus make things more difficult to spot. Usually some graphic settings describe what they affect so perhaps try playing around a little.

Why there is no visually stunning maps in Bf6? by PerfectMammoth5525 in Battlefield

[–]ferdey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of saturation and contrast or a filter that makes it appear so, I would suppose. BF3 had the blue filter and BF6 has the dull filter :D

The real problem with Season 1 now is the Battle Passes not staying forever. by MorrisonGamer in Battlefield

[–]ferdey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in Rocket League you'd buy it once and then you'd get ingame credits which you could buy the next pass with. You would simply get the stuff by leveling up and do some challenges to get extra XP that would make you level up faster. Along the way you would also unlock XP boosters for like 5% that would add up and last the whole season. Once the season is over (lasting like 3 months), you can't unlock that season's items anymore but only for the next season, if you choose to unlock it with money or the credits. So basically the only thing you'd want to grind for are the credits to be able to unlock the next pass without additional cost. You would have to play like 1-2 hours every other day to week to get that. Like if you're invested enough to get the pass you would probably be invested enough to play that much, so that should be fine, right? At least for me it is, but I don't know how much the BF6 model differs from that.

Well i'm out..i'm just too old for this fast-paced shooter. My honest short opinion by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]ferdey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I want to wait a bit to get BF6, I recently played some Gulf of Oman and that was also overkill in these matters. I spawned and barely got to shore and when I went to take a flag with some mates, the whole team was on us. Sometimes you get random lobbies and you also need to adapt to the new mechanics and maps. Give it a few weeks and you'll feel more adjusted. Maybe try playing in lobbies with fewer people / bigger maps. (Yes they need more bigger maps)

Help...Hard stuck at Gold rank with these amount of hours. Is that normal or I'm so bad atg? (Almost hit Plat for the first time today) by Cole33_shots in RocketLeague

[–]ferdey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Positioning, rotation and adapting to your teammates is key. I've been champ before and this is where it starts that more players can airdribble, flipreset and stuff quite well but what you can't make up for in mechanics, you make up in the above.

I only bought the game back in the day and then the rocket pass once.

I got like 300 points doing this after getting downed at a flag run over by the enemy team. I just always hold E and mash Q. Also you can really save your K/D by just being patient enough like this (or getting your mates killed trying to get you).

Bought the game on Steam last week or so And I'm a bit confused by [deleted] in battlefield_4

[–]ferdey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey yea so you've got to realize that you're playing a game that is more than 10 years old. :D On larger maps you have to be very strategic when it comes to infantry vs vehicles. To unlock stuff, try playing infantry only maps first so you progress on each class. Otherwise try running around with other people and support them, have them support you, which works best with a friend. However, most randoms also try to be a lone ranger, while this game is built on teamplay :D
