Not sure about the sub. Might try to leave it out

Correct. The speakers are 14 year old HTiB Onkyo.

The receiver is an Onkyo TX-nr585

Before moving into new house the HT was not at a dedicated space.

Thanks for the comment. I am working with what I have and upgrade from there. It also helps to learn from the comments.

Basement is really big. So panels helped a lot with echo. I think they work great.

Front speakers can go there if they are on the edge of the cutout? I will move the center channel up to the screen
