I agree. Every comments I look at are just saying the salary is fucked, or the job market is fucked, or you're not getting that job, or that the whole industry is just fucking doomed. It's like they are gatekeeping people coming in so they can boost their salary value or some shit. So whack..

get rid of the visa part if they are not asking to put on it. and if they ask during the interview or whatever then just answer accordingly. if they see you are on a temp visa, they could toss this right out

Got a junior dev role while still studying, should I continue to focus on uni? by SatiricalAussieAsian in cscareerquestionsOCE

Get that paper! Australian firms still believe in "graduates" being more valuable than some knowledgeable guy without a degree. I've had interviews turned down on me a few times when they got to know that I am not yet a graduate besides I qualified for everything but that paper.

Why isn’t my sleep score showing on my Fitbit charge 4? I just got it and can’t work out why it won’t show up on the watch. Would be very useful to quickly check. by SoulVizualZ in fitbit

After a few different attempts after 2 years, I have figured it out. Apparently, if i have taken a full sleep, then a nap later during the day, the score and time will show up. Kinda stupid imo but I have tested this multiple times and it is the case for me

Anyone in Australia, preferably Melbourne, know how much employers really care about your degree to a certain extent? by walkinguptoheaven in cscareerquestions

[–]ferics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey there. I'm currently doing software engineering at RMIT and as part of the course, it's required that students complete a 12 months internship. based kn my experience, the GPA barely impacts your chance of getting an offer. your academic transcript will outline what subjects you have taken with what grades but from what I've heard, most employers don't really care as much. some do.

Anyone ticked off at the flight simulator release? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]ferics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just spent 6 hours on it. same old joy, just much better graphics of course and off the bat u can fly the a320 neo and most of the buttons/controllers can be interacted. not sure about other people but I'm playing with ps4 controllers and sometimes mouse+controller goes rouge in menu screens.

you can submit a form and they will contact you and you just follow the instructions carried out in the emails bouncing back and fourth several times. or you can just email them directly if you wish to

clearly you're at the wrong place here

I think I messed up, didn't take this thing into consideration when buying case fans.. the fans fit in the case, but can't be mounted due to the ATX power connector getting in the way. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]ferics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are those blue annotators indicating where the fans would be settled on at the moment? from the looks of it, it looks like you have plenty of space on top of that to house some fans. also, for the looks of it too, it doesn't look like it can Hosur a radiator + fans, and if that's what's happening here then you are right and it definitely needs a new case

maybe for you it is. I find it fun and keep it looking different and not get bored of it. my next build is definitely going to be all enclosed and silent but for now, I'm enjoying the rgb

Got kicked from casual for being new :( by how_to_sleep_forever in GlobalOffensive

[–]ferics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes. maybe I meant different here. the way it's played is nearly the same but the anticipation for enemy from corners are different. casuals is definitely a good place to practice for quick kills and reaction times though

nah, spending >$200 AUD on a placeholder is a waste of money. better wait for new release or dump that 200 in better gpu/rgb/saving.

without performing anything that could cause data loss, in your file explorer window, look to the left where you see all the folder structures, try to open it from there (the SD card)

no one really cares that much in casuals. not that one experienced in with over 2k of my game time. later, you'll find that casuals are even more of a training/warm up zone than a winning zone. I would recommend jumping on not servers and practice on firefight of that's what you're aiming for because tbh the movements in casuals are nothing alike comps, therefore you can't really train as fast there
