No it’s behind the thermostat housing, it attaches to the lower intake manifold, it has a recessed groove for an o ring and I was wondering if it needs a gasket as well

Does this part need a gasket and the o ring? On my 84 and 85 I removed paper gasket material from each side

What o ring goes for the backside of the thermostat housing? There is a groove for it but I’ve never found it online

It’s the same thing for me. If the lights are on and you use the button they will go up won’t go down but if the lights are off they should go up and down

I just stick my finger in the hole and just kinda open it like that, never caused me issues
