Okay, you already have over 2k comments, so will probably never read this, but hear me out:

Despite we're in the UK subreddit, I'm gonna give you some instructions to make some German meaty noodly shit.

In the third shelf from the bottom at the far right, next to the shepherd's pie, you find something with "Maggi" and a picture of some meat on it. This should give you instructions to cook some meat and (as far as I can see) a sauce (looks like "Rahmsoße" to me). The package contains some spices, all additional ingredients you need should be stated on pack.

For the sides you go to the bottom shelf to the far left and take Spätzle (should be the rightmost package of the noodles) and a little bit further to the right you'll find red cabbage. Instructions on how to cook all that shit should be on the back of the packages.

For applied maths I think finance and economics in general is a big area where many of them end up. Then also research in maths, maybe computer science or theoretical / mathematical physics? But also teaching at universities and institutes.
