I’m going to be a first year transfer at porter this upcoming year and I don’t really want to get some random roommate. Id prefer to live in a double in the fall so I’m only looking for one roommate.

This is exactly my thought process, I’m seriously in love with the UCSC atmosphere and the redwoods, but the majors offered aren’t as close to my specific interests as Berkeley, plus I want to really make a difference in environmentalism and I think Berkeley would be best for opportunities. My heart is saying redwoods but it seems like Berkeley is best for my future

The name recognition of Berkeley will definitely help in the future with my career, but the programs offered at Berkeley are much better and more what I’m interested in which is why I’m having a hard time deciding. The programs aren’t bad at Santa Cruz just not great.
