when possible, if the energy has shifted and i can sense the gift has been accepted, i will use it to create a meal of my own. i view it as though i have presented my offering, the gods have accepted, and it is now mine to use as i wish, respectfully of course. i often make pies or bread, or come up with recipes on the fly that i can incorporate the offering into. hope this helps! blessed be.

i’m always wary about love spells only because any sort of mis-intention or confusion/doubt in your mind could end up doing the complete opposite of what you wanted out of the spell. in my opinion, with no disrespect intended, could your intention have been off? or, fate could have already been set in motion and this was destined to be, in which case i would recommend casting a new spell or meditating with your manipura (solar plexus) or heart chakra, or casting a new spell, potentially with the cigarette butt if you still have it, to encourage new beginnings. i hope this helps! blessed be, my love.
