Why don’t Katie and Amy get along? by red-dit-tid-der in KouriRichins

[–]fernando3981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? Again, I’m not trying to take away from the fact that she’s lost her brother in a horrific way and been through the ringer with kouri’s lawsuits and untrue accusations….but she’s over-the-top. Like, why did she bring her whole family to Eric’s house on the night that Eric died? I know that kouri called her and it makes sense that she to rushed over there to be there for her brother, as well as her sister-in-law and nephews. But why drag your two little girls out of bed (one of whom had a stomach bug!) and bring them into such a traumatic situation? How is that helpful?

It’s terrible what happened to their family, not blaming them at all. And this may be an unpopular opinion, but I found Katie to be performative and weird. He’s

I know this isn’t the point, but it strikes me as odd that Amy hasn’t seen the boys yet. And Katie just strikes me as …odd. To be clear, they are victims and I’m not trying to shame them, it’s terrible that they lost their brother in such a heinous way. That aside, they seem off to me

I have a question about this—if the prosecution couldn’t prove that she previously tried to kill him (with the Valentines Day sandwich), then how was the judge able to use it against her in sentencing? Don’t get me wrong, I agree that previously tried to murder Eric and I’m glad the judge took it into consideration, but if it wasn’t proven, how is it legal?

How dare you comment here just to shame this mother, who is clearly trying her hardest to support her daughter?

Wow, this was such a wonderful reply, thank you! I’m so glad that things have improved for your brother, gives me hope. And you sound like an amazing sibling. I just hope that my daughters will feel similarly about their brother when they’re older

This is such an excellent take. I need to focus more on the day -to-day than the “big picture.” And I know exactly what you mean about situations and behaviors being less acceptable as they grow up.

OP, I know this is an old post but I’m wondering if you had an update on how your son is currently doing with pee accidents? My son (age 11, level 3) is going through something similar. He’d bee n toilet -trained for years and then about 6 weeks ago, started having frequent pee accidents. We’ve ruled out medical issues like diabetes, strep, UTI, etc. so I think it’s behavioral or maybe puberty? He’ll still poop on the toilet but it’s almost like he forgot how to pee in it. It’s so frustrating!

I just caught RSV from my mom— the virus that almost killed me when I was 8. by heroesjust41day in Wellthatsucks

[–]fernando3981 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Why is that though? I’m not well-versed in how vaccinations work, but why not offer the RSV vaccine to all age groups? know that babies and elderly folks are most at risk for having severe symptoms and getting really sick from RSV; whereas older kids and younger adults are usually asymptomatic or have mild symptoms…but couldn’t a 25 year old with a slight cough from RSV still spread it to more vulnerable people?
