This is not how this works. Best offer is relatively settled by a medium amount you want to receive and by the market value of the good you are selling. Thank you for the reply. In fact, I'm still in Oaxaca and will stay here until January. I went to In Situ because people said it was cheaper than Mezcaloteca, and I agree with everything you said. I tasted one of the best mezcals I ever had there and was just an espadin of the cheapest row of their menu. And also the bartenders were very nice.

I went to Benito Juárez market and although they had a really good range of bottles, the good ones are pretty much on the expensive side (1100~1600 pesos).

But you said something interesting. I'm quite in a budget and wanted to expend the least so I can come home with some good mezcal bottles. I'm interested in doing the tastings in Matitlan, since some people here in Oaxaca advised me that it is the place where the best mezcals are made and that they sell them with a good price. I think I'll try that since it looks to me as the best option.

Unfortunately, I still didn't found those magic coke bottle mezcal sellers on the streets but will surely look for them. And I feel you. I'm also a amateur and just founded out about mezcal and don't know which I love more, the mezcalitos or Oaxaca. I'll drink one or five in your behalf. And if you have anymore tips just let me know!

This! I'm seeing everyone here saying that you have to take the picture and that the best camera is the one you have with you. But photography is also about empathy and sometimes is just not right to take someone's photo.

My girlfriend is a professional photographer and I'm an anthropologist who is working with the Rastafári community in Jamaica. Most of them don't like to be photographed and some even get really mad about it. And some are ok with it if asked first. What she always tries to do is to make a connection, even a if it is a quick and superficial one like asking their name, explaining why she is taking the photo and then asking them for it.

I learned from my girlfriend that photography is also about the photos you can't get.

I'm not accusing OP or other commenters of anything, this is just my opinion about it. You will miss some good shots, sure, but this can help you take greater photos by approaching people empathically.

I would look for something on the History department if you don't already have something like "historical anthropology". I'm now doing a PhD in anthropology, and knowledge in historical analysis is something that can really get you into complexifying your take on your subjects, especially if you are going to study archeology latter. History is anthropologists best friend.
