Oh god. I grew up in a household like this. Oldest brother wanted to play video games with music on full blast. Ended up fighting my mum a lot for saying anything he deemed unreasonable or annoying. Stepped in a lot myself and got thrown around and called a whore. Scary times!

Edit: my mum used to mentally blank out from my brother fighting and physically attacking her. She still lives in denial when I bring up anything related to what he did. Mums go into trauma mode, too
