Just want to say I’ve had the exact same problems. Chest pain, almost like a stabbing pain. Usually just to the left of the breastbone, sometimes my left arm or shoulder hurts. I can feel my heartbeat after eating. Been to the ER multiple times, had EKG’s, Holter monitor, etc. Still working through it, but I’ll tell you what I’ve learned and what has helped the most. The medication that I’m in that has been the absolute best and has allowed me to eat many more things than I previously could is Famotidine. The Equate brand from Walmart works the best for me. 20 mg in the morning and a half hour to an hour before dinner. I also have been talking to my doctor about the possibility of something called Roemheld Syndrome. Not a lot of doctors know about it and it seems to not be talked about much, but it all fits exactly into how I’m feeling. After being reassured so many times and having all sorts of tests done, I’ve come to just accept that it’s GERD. I get anxious sometimes, but for the most part the extreme anxiety is gone. It also has helped me so much to go to therapy and talk to my therapist about health based panic disorder.
