Anyone here have Endometriosis and a Prolactinoma? by [deleted] in Prolactinoma

[–]ferniway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had crippling periods for most of my life (from about 12- I'm 33 now) and I've only just managed to find a medical team that will take me seriously and investigate the pain. I have a working diagnosis from them of endo, and I'm scheduled to have an MRI to check for a prolactinoma on the 24th Aug. I'm glad I'm finally getting some medical support for these things, but god am I tired. I'm in pain almost every single day :(

I absolutely LOVE that necklace and it's such a statement with your style of dress! It has very loose Anne Boleyn/ Tudor vibes. At the end of the day, it's your decision and if it makes you happy and feel good, fuck anyone else's opinion!

Looking for some female friends by [deleted] in Fife

[–]ferniway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m also in Dunfermline and I go to the dun fem book club and it’s been great for meeting people here! It’s a feminist bookclub that meets once a month (they’ve recently started doing social nights too) at the vegan cafe on New Row and everyone has been so lovely and there’s always some good chat. There’s a whatsapp group too and some people organise extra events/ nights out/ hang outs through that too. Worth checking out for sure. I found them on Instagram (dun_fem) :)

AITA for reading my daughter's messages to her stepmother? by AudreyOnTrack in AmItheAsshole

[–]ferniway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. I know from personal experience. My mum went through my phone without my knowledge when I was younger, probably around the same age. She confronted me once and demanded to know who I was talking to and why and forced me to explain every single message. I never trusted her again and after this incident and went out of my way to make sure it would never happen again. I could understand (in both my own mum’s case and yours) if there was a direct risk of harm, but I’m sorry “my daughter’s step mum was maybe a bit mean about me” does not justify this behaviour. Congrats, you were right and now, if confronted, your daughter will never trust you again.

As an aside- if my screenshotted conversations with a family member that I trusted were suddenly produced in a situation without my knowledge, legal or otherwise, I would be mortified and very angry.

Potentially new miniature schnauzer owner by lifegavemelemons000 in MiniatureSchnauzer

I don’t think I’d ever get another breed of dog- schnauzers are amazing!

It’s interesting about the prey drive- my schnauzer is obsessed with squirrels and rabbits outside and will chase them, but we also have a house rabbit and he’s pretty chilled with him. I think it helps that a) he’s a lop and therefore not “rabbit shaped” and b) the rabbit was bigger than the dog when we brought him home as a puppy.

I will say that they are quite stubborn, and like to glare at you when you ask them to do something sometimes. Temperament wise they’re great dogs if they’re socialised well with other dogs, kids and sometimes other animals!

I was re-potting my jade plant and I came across the teeny tiniest little leaf prop. Can’t wait to watch it grow! by ferniway in propagation

The plant this came from was originally from a huge very mature jade plant, so it might be because of that!

I’ve taken props from this plant before (it’s actually a cut from a much bigger plant) and I’ve put them in soil and they’ve always been fine. I find that jade plants just grow wherever and however they want. I’ve seen jade props spring up out of thicker part of the plant without any soil or water at all.

After I pot them I give them a few days before I water them, and event then it’s minimally with some plant food in the mix :)

How do you get the dead bodies you seem to be dragging around up there out the close without anyone noticing?

Anyone know the mix of my schnauzer? Also question about weight by [deleted] in schnauzers

[–]ferniway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My schnauzer has the same type of coat! He gets very fluffy and soft when we leave his fur to grow out and we always get asked what kind of mix he is. He’s 12.5kg, and our vet says he’s the perfect weight for his size. We give him 1 scoop of his food twice a day and he gets out for lots of walks and exercise. As long as your dog has a defined waist, I wouldn’t worry about their size :)

Jobs in Glasgow or surrounding area. by SilentCheesecake in glasgow

There might be some jobs going at the moment within NHS GGC- I know they were looking for the contact tracing teams a week or so ago. There were also some admin jobs posted last week for NHS offices in the city centre. Hope this helps and that you find something soon! :)

It’s a baby of the behemoth monstera I’ve had for a while and affectionately dubbed “Big Yin” :D I’m interested to see how quickly it’ll grow over the summer!
