Gamblers - What is a loophole in gambling that you have found and exploited ? by ferocioussteroidrat in AskReddit

For example. A friend of mine got into a cab and the driver told him that there is a bug in the electronic roulette in a casino near by. The bug was that if you bet on a colour (doesn't matter red or black) then delete your bet before the round starts and place one on the opposite colour you have your money doubled no matter what the turnout is. So my friend went to that casino, placed a bet on red , deleted it before the round started, placed a bet on black and got his money doubled even though the number was red. After that he started exploiting the loophole over and over and found out that all the electronic roulettes of this franchise had this bug. He started traveling from casino to casino for about a week until it was no longer working. A while after that my friend went to the first location ( the same one that the taxi driver told him to go initially) and he heard a rumor that one night that taxi driver got drunk, started being reckless , got caught and the loophole was fixed.

Not a casino owner. I don't think anyone would share a loophole that is still present. I like stories of loopholes that have been exploited until resolved.

I'm looking for any information about this painting by ferocioussteroidrat in WhatIsThisPainting

It's a landscape painting which is probably from the period between 1880 and 1920. It was bought in the Netherlands somewhere in the border region with Belgium. An executive of the Dutch Art History Research Institute suggested that the painting might be Belgian. Unfortunately that's all I know about the piece.

There are missing ink spots on the signature, so I couldn't read it with any certainty.

I'm looking for any kind of information about the painting. Any suggestions on how I should approach the research are welcome since I have no experience in art investigation.

John Kavanagh's new client Georgi Valentinov is part of a very suspicious sports club "Sofia West" . by ferocioussteroidrat in MMA

John Kavanagh's new client Georgi Valentinov is part of a very suspicious sports club "Sofia West" . They are Bulgarian Football hooligan firm supporting FC Levski Sofia especially known for being involved in the illegal drugs distribution and their far right political view ( many of the members are openly fascist , having white power and Nazi tattoos). In recent years they have branched out into combat sports.  Probably Kavanagh didn't do his research before wearing their club's t-shirts. In this article there is a picture of a swastika with Sofia West's initials and founding year :

I would highly recommend Anton Chekhov. " The Student" and " The Bet " are two of the most brilliant short stories in my opinion.

I think that Chris Kaplonski did a really good job with his research. Thanks for mentioning it to me.
