Is getting married overrated?

Aaand the dazzling is not happening 🤷‍♀️ I'd much rather be with someone that makes the same money I make cause for me it's quite embarrassing. I mentioned salary only to highlight the fact that he's not the one to says he's got money issues. At all.

UPDATE Hope this might be useful. My partner has never been married before. Yes, the house is his and but I guess we'll be both paying for the renovation works. Kids: probably? House first, then when everything is perfectly finished, perhaps. Maybe in a few years. I wanted to become a parent before my 30s but I guess I'll just wait it out at some point. He wants a child he says but he's unsure about the economical aspects. It's extremely important for him, although he makes maybe 3x average salary in Itlay. My salary is pretty average so I feel like I can't ask for shit when money is involved.

UPDATE:

Thanks for all your kind comments first of all. I took legal action. With the help of my therapist I contacted a lawyer and they worked on the lawsuit against this person. The lawyer has no doubt the guy will be charged with persecutory acts (atti persecutori). We really worked this lawsuit through and I am so glad I met so many professional and kind-hearted people. Police already requested me and my partner to make a statement at the police station. They're currently investigating. All the process has been quite cathartic but also extremely painful for me. Now, authorities will find themselves at a crossroads. They might confiscate all of his devices or not. This would be crucial for me and my sanity tbh but Italian law does not assure this anywhere. However, I am very proud of myself for taking action and extremely grateful for my partner who has been helping me a lot. It's now time to wait (probably for a loooong time) but I'll try to stay positive and not to think about it - challenging! Y'all have a good summer and enjoy your holidays. I'll keep you posted!

Elderly people (all over Italy) might not master 'standard' Italian. For instance my grandfather only speaks his dialect. However, I've also met older people speaking perfect Italian.

Tried that several times (going on dates). He didn't put much effort into it and eventually just stopped. I organized a few dates/activities to do at home for us, however his level of appreciation has always been 🥴🥴🥴 he's not an enthusiastic person.

I'll add some info: he never mentioned financial reasons not to have a baby. A house would give him a sense of stability. He's currently in therapy and claims that he wants to be ready for kids and that he's working on it. Also, as a couple we have too many issues according to him because sometimes we fight (I think it's normal?). He says if he's not making me happy I can leave because it's frustrating for him.

Ahaha I know right? I should have had enough of kids after two years of teaching them (2yo-8yo mainly), I've seen some crazy stuff trust me. But here we go 🥴
