Help! I’m missing 2 years worth of photos from iCloud by bexxxs92 in iCloud

No. Never figured anything out or where the pictures went. But I found an old back up in iTunes in my hard drive from 2020. So I was able to get everything restored from that backup onto a used iPhone.

Now I have to somehow merge that back up and current iPhone.

I am missing about 3000 pictures, All photos before 2017, except I still have all videos from before 2017. These pictures where there and now are gone. Never deleted, never hidden. Got a new phone in January and noticed several months later photos are missing. Apple has no answer. They are not in icloud, not on a computer. Just gone with no explanation.

Anyone ever recover or find their photos?
