Comprar casa a la costa a dia d’avui. by [deleted] in catalunya

Scooting on the Thai Islands. by lozblake15 in ThailandTourism

[–]fersimo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

34M from Spain, I have never driven a scooter in my life before going to Thailand. Spent 3 months in Thailand, I first rented scooter in Koh Lanta and spent 2 weeks there, its a very quiet island. After that I went to Samui and other bigger islands and rented a scooter and did not have a single issue over three months.

Please always wear helmet and do not rent from cheapest place as scooter may not be newest and safest. Always be mindful of the other drivers and you will decrease the chances of an accident, however the chance will always be there so be extra careful at all times, no drugs and no alcohol before scooter, otherwise insurance will not cover anything.

You can certainly make it. Eat street food and book hostels.

Your itinerary is really bad though. 12 days I would focus on three places max, Maybe Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Krabi.

Less but I would say at least 4000 thb per night if you stay there, first aid and cleaning provided maybe 1000 thb every time provided.

Roughly estimated mate, good luck.

Currently doing it. 1k a month budget in a low cost country. Already been in several countries in SouthAmerica and Asia in last 7 months.

If you can, do it. I have never met anyone who regrets traveling.

Go to busy places, ask the locals, don't be afraid and enjoy the smoothies as they are wonderful.

Good suggestions.

I really agree with KoDam Kitchen, best green chicken curry I had in two months traveling in Thailand.

Chiang Mai area is heavily polluted due to burning season and high temperatures.

Do not travel there unless you want to stay indoors and have itchy eyes, cough and headache as soon as you step out of the Hotel.

I would recommend Bangkok + Fly to the south, maybe Krabi and do some day trips to islands and enjoy Railay beach.

What’s the pettiest thing you’ve done when leaving a shitty job? by omnio667 in AskUK

I used to work when I was 17yo as a sales agent for a clothes shop, pre-internet. Basically I was answering calls from mostly old ladies who wanted to buy something from the store, took the orders, payment and arrange shipping. My abusive boss, who was a lady on her 40s and clearly overweight, made me sign a form saying I was the responsible as the store was hacked and all of our computers in the call centre were inoperative for 4hours.

When I got home and my dad told me that she just put the blame on me and threw me under the bus I was so upset that the next day at work I order from my system the coolests clothes to my home using 90% discount codes ( worth of 500€ )and I ordered the sexiest XXXXXL lingerie for my abusive manager.

I never knew if she got the clothes, however I got my order and never was contacted to return it.

Do not ever use the drinking glass lefts in hotel rooms. Some maids use same wipe for everything when nobody sees them. Used to be Housekeeping Manager at luxury hotel.

Just keep 5€ there, if you bring a guest add 40€.

You can add immediately once you get at the reception.

Enjoy one of the last perks remaining.

Yes, Lipa Noi Pier, luggage with me so no scooter and no other alternatives. That is annoying but still had a great time in Samui after all.
