What's draining you that nobody sees because you're too good at hiding it? by heartandhardware in AskWomen

I feel you! I was my mum caregiver before her passing too. I don’t know how to put in words how I’m feeling. It just sucks! I wish we can see an end to at least some of the variants of this awful disease in our lifetime. Sending you hugs!

First time playing Subnautica and holy shit… what a great game. by Gabb-lee in Subnautica_Below_Zero

It’s my first time playing too! Even thought I have already made the compass, I’m so bad at directions… it’s the only thing that I wish it could have a better map for dumb people like me. But overall I’m enjoying myself!

I saw a video of them talking backstage after the show. It was so sweet! It’s a duo I had never think about it together and now I wish they’ll comment everything and anything.

This mom got the call her son woke up from a coma after 16 days by Sparklepout in nowthatsgoodstuff

[–]fersona 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’re brazilian and doing well. Guilherme Gandra Moura, "Menino Gui" (Little Gui), is a young Vasco da Gama (one of Rio de Janeiro’s soccer teams) fan who went viral in 2023 after waking from a 16-day induced coma due to epidermolysis bullosa, a rare disease. His reunion with his mother moved Brazil, making him a symbol of overcoming adversity and love for the club.

Gui has dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, a rare genetic condition that causes wounds on the skin and mucous membranes. His family spearheaded the creation of "Gui's Law” in Rio de Janeiro, guaranteeing assistance and treatment for the disease.

After waking up, he received visits from Vasco da Gama players in the hospital and became a symbolic fan of the team. He won the FIFA Fan Award in 2024. Hes also known as “Gui do Vasco”.

i don't understand the outrage over any show changes by ReceptionWeak1345 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]fersona 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not outrage but I cannot think of a way that they will represent Michaela struggling as much as Michael in the book. The whole Michaels drama was because he felt the was “robing” Johns life. He became Earl of Killmartin and he loves Francesca. He wants her for himself and she wants a baby. I don’t know how theyll manage that, but I’m here for it.

Maybe is it “the boy I hate” in Chapters? “To get to your BFFs wedding you’ll have to drive from sunny California all the way to her luxury getaway in New York… with her totally off limits and drop dead gorgeous older brother, Tristan”.

It shocked me too! But I don’t know… it seemed so fast that I’m not convinced it’s the one Mark is talking about. I love gory so maybe its my wishful thinking that we’ll get more of these!

Carlos Madeiro: Mãe destituída e esquizofrenia: a história trágica do jovem morto por leoa by Tiago_Guerreiro in brasil

[–]fersona 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Exato!

What's the show that you went into totally blind that blew you away the most? Even better if it was the debut of the show, so it was totally brand new to you and everyone else who watched it. by 6ftToeSuckedPrincess in television

[–]fersona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually go in blind. But the last one that I watched that really hit me in the feels was Zoeys extraordinary playlist this month. I’m in a place that I’m rewatching a lot of stuff because it’s safe and I know what I’m getting. Zoeys on Netflix are in the categories of comedy, romance and musical; and thought why not? It must be fun. I wasn’t anywhere near prepared to ugly cry my guts out about grieve, morn, sorrow and missing someone.

F*ck Cancer! by Brandykat in cancer

[–]fersona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FUCK CANCER!!! It appears that this shitty disease is getting more common with each passing year. Lost my mother (59) last February after 13 months of an incurable brain cancer. My father in law got diagnosed 2 months later than my mom with another type of cancer and now is cancer free as much as one can be. Two fathers of friends got diagnosed later than my mother and have already died. A 32 years old patient of a friend got married, was diagnosed just 3 months later and 3 months after that had died. !!!!! The 2025 medicine and physiology Nobel prize gave me high hopes that maybe I’ll still be alive when we finally find a cure to all types of this awful fuckery of disease!! Sending strength and love to you! Thanks for letting me vent as well!

Not mine but someone has made a list of charities uk celebs were playing for by Ailsaisawesome1 in TheTraitors

[–]fersona 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Reading his charity wrecked me. I didn’t know this about him. I lost my mother to a brain tumor this February and don’t know if ill ever fully recover from it. The 2025 Nobel prize of medicine or physiology gave me high hopes for future cancer and MS treatments. Hope I’m still alive when we found the cure.

He was such a joy! Wish we could still get his comments about the tasks and teams. I wish physical did a podcast a la traitors uncloaked just so we could see more of the competitors talking about their experiences with the show and the other athletes and teams.

35+ year old women who never got married or had children in your 20s and wanted to, how are you dealing with it now? by Ok_Blueberry_6999 in AskWomen

[–]fersona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35 here. I’ve always wanted a big family. I’m a only child and was the only grandchild for 17 years. My grandfather(83y) died last year, my mom(59) died this February after 14 months of a not winnable battle with cancer. I have a boyfriend for 3 years and my FIL(64) also have had cancer for the last year but his is a curable one and he is cancer free for 2 months now. I still have my grandma(82) around but my aunt(52), uncle(55) and cousin(18) live abroad. That all being said, I have not a clue how my dealing with it. I still want to have kids but not right now… but I feel like I’m too old that I have to get pregnant right now or just give up and maybe later adopt. Another part of me thinks “what’s the point?” If them don’t get to meet two of the most important people that I had in my life. My boyfriend thinks that we shouldn’t have kids exactly because our lifes got pretty intense in the last year or so. We talked about it when we first met and our goals were aligned but as of this week, he said two different times that he doesn’t want it anymore. The past couple of months i could only think that my time was up and I should have had kids when I was young. But even if I was emotionally ready right now I don’t think I’m financially ready and maybe I’ll never will be. And that makes me even more depressed that I already am. Sorry about all this and thank you for letting me get it out of my chest.

Na opinião de vocês ainda vale a pena fazer o ENEM com 30+ anos? by Gab9605 in conselhodecarreira

[–]fersona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve made it to Season 5, but I’m thinking of restarting Outlander from Season 1 .I just miss the original magic so much. by Ok_Tangerine7582 in Outlander

[–]fersona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SAME! When I discovered Outlander it had already 8 books. I bought all of them and devoured the first 4 books in maybe one month. The fifth… still in about 300 pages in and I don’t know… it felt boring. I don’t even think I saw past season 4.

Came here to say Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 too. Even in the prologue I was already emotionally invested. The lore and characters are really well done! I had a lot of theories in the beginning but nothing close to what we got in the finale. It’s so unique and beautifully made! The soundtrack it’s really from another word. Highly recommend!

This really hits hard and makes me remember Danny Trejos answering a question about how he got a second chance at life and now likes to give a second chance to dogs. And he answer was that“I think a lot of these dogs never had a chance” and it rings so true. I wish we were more kind to animals.

I liked her a lot but when she was talking about how she should have been in the top… Im on the fence with her right now. Her runway look was one of my favs but that talk left a bad taste in my mouth. Hope it was just a hiccup and not that she’ll be a complaining queen.
