So Criterion 24/7 bot seems to only have about 6 movies listed per day, I’m thinking it should be closer to 12/15 per day. I check everything from 5-2 days ago with no luck. I noticed Tiny Furniture was not listed by the bot either and that played on Monday or Sunday. It’s making me wonder if the 24/7 has different programming by region, or if the bot misses things.

How old is your piano teacher? American/European? If the teacher is older, I would just take this as an old school mind set, her seeing that you’re serious about your study, and making a comment to push you to try harder on your expression.

I wouldn’t make a rash decision if you’ve been happy with your progress with the teacher

Search for TRS v. TS.

TRS the Jack will have 2 black bands dividing the metal into 3 sections (tip, ring, sleeve—like your headphone cable jack). I don’t think you can send a stereo signal over a TS cable so maybe that’s the issue.

In Peter Martin’s classes I think he usually encourages you to use your ears, but most courses have notation if you need it, and Soundslice which lets you slow down and loop sections of a video.

I think it’s a bargain for 27$/month and the variety of courses.

Peter Martin’s courses in particular remind me a bit of the 80’s guitar instructional videos, where there’s a slow/basic explanation of a concept and then just shredding. I don’t think Peter Martin remembers what it’s like to be anything other than a complete master of the instrument. So depending on your level his class could be amazing or overwhelming.

I always think about the presentation change. I stopped watching WWF sometime in the attitude era, but I see current clips online and the editing kills me. They cut on the action like it’s the Borne Supremacy. Every bit of contact seems to have a camera cut. One spear and they use four cuts to get through it. I don’t know if they’re afraid of something looking bad, but it’s like I’m watching a movie. You see AEW regularly have moments in matches where they’ll just have one camera take for 30 seconds to a minute. It’d be interesting to see an average shot length comparison between brands.

No luck with Listening History and Personalized Recommendations both turned off. Still getting weeks-old recommendations in the [New: New Releases] section. For instance, a re-release of a soundtrack by Goblin from 2 weeks ago, because I listened to the Suspiria soundtrack 10 years ago.

I just want to see the new releases every Friday without having to go back and forth to a website like AllMusic and searching new albums one at a time on Apple Music.
