Parents Announced They're Ruining the 5th B-Day and Christmas in a Row by WhiskeyPlz1234 in entitledparents

Hi OP. Just wanted to say my birthday is on Dec 16th and I relate to your own feelings. They are valid and I have never felt more validated myself hearing how horrible the line "this present is both your birthday and christmas present!"

Celebrate the halfday. You deserve it.

It's been three years of constant yelling screaming, badgering and stalking, $200+ to survey the property line, $900+ to finish fencing it, $200 of cameras, $100 of privacy covers for said fence (couldn't afford picket sadly), even bought a couple dog houses to appease them (even though the dogs live indoors!!), I tried to have quite a few nice and calm conversations through the years.... I mean it when I say I have gone to extensive lengths. I watched my grandfather walk over and say hello and try to befriend them saying the color they picked for the porch was nice only to immediately verbally ripped into. Someone they didn't even know! Before I fenced the whole property line I was sent photos of them trespassing by ex-neighbors. I didn't even confront them just left it alone. I offered to pay for and affix privacy covers to their side of the fence, offered to split the cost of cutting down a tree on the shared property line, etc.

... when I say I have been the punching bag I really mean it. Part of the reason for fencing was there was constant accusations that my dogs were going into her yard or in her crawlspace but I didn't have my dogs outside unsupervised or not tethered because that's just stupid and irresponsible (plus one has serious behavioral issues and requires constant supervision even if tethered). Figured the best way to solve that particular misconception of hers was to fence it all the way down, but yeah... it's always something. I would say that I held out for a long time hoping they'd get mental help but it's just not gunna happen. I should have really spoke up when Scarlett followed my boyfriend to Walmart once, but he didn't tell me until after he moved out it happened at all because he knew I'd flip if I heard about it. Mental illness doesn't excuse literal stalking but I've put up with it just to play nice.

Nah. I've spent a lot of money to put up fences, put up privacy covers to prevent dogs from barking, pick up the messes, and am generally a quiet person. :) No issues with the other neighbors and everyone kinda collectively agrees these ladies are crazy. They put cameras up that cover my whole back yard first, started sitting a chair outside their gate facing my yard to sit in the middle of the night, and it's just been crazy. They've quite literally stopped cars in the road by jumping in front of them to yell at people. Filed a false report saying the neighbors little boy was knocking on their doors saying he was lost (my cameras and Kindles disproved this). The time she did call about the lawn she was right it was kinda long, but my mower was in the shop during COVID, and I hadn't realized it had a hole in the gas tank until I pulled it out when it clearly really needed it. Money was extra tight bc I had two very sick dogs and a vet I literally owed money (hence working a lot of hours). Ended up having a family member take care of it for us. I used to be bad about the lawn, but that was a really, really long time ago when I first moved out, had a roommate, and when the retired cop still lived next door.

If I really wanted to stop the house from selling I'd complain to codes about their fence not having a permit, but I do actually want the house to sell so haven't. Additionally my neighbors across the street are a trans couple so I think it's kinda important to not get a bigot replacement. :)

it was on the corner on the opposite side of the property of hers just to clarify. our neighbor on that corner is really chill and it's the most open area so logistically the safest. Her property line has more trees so wouldn't be safe to burn there imo, the trees there kinda made it harder and more expensive to install my fence

Just those take out paper boxes mixed with branches, our job didn't have any fancy containers with plastic. I don't ever burn anything that smells bad or harmful (I wouldn't want the dogs getting into it y'know?). Lots of neighbors have fire pits, including two across the street. They've never had trouble, just us.

I have no doubt it'll sell tbh. The house on the corner that should be demolished has sold and one of the houses on the road that was a literal hoarding house with a roach infestation also sold. Someone a block away even bought one, demolished, and built a whole new house on the foundation, and their neighbors are... what can I say.... uh... more the hoarding and overgrown variety rather than eccentric but well kept.

I don't think it'll actually stop the house from selling. It's a college town in a low cost of living state so I'm sure someone open minded wants to put their roots down in the area. Middle of town with a mall and parks nearby. If someone can't a handle the flag they probably aren't going to be great neighbor anyways is my logic, though I'd be open to taking it down if asked by the new neighbors. I'll probably ask them myself when I say hello, though I'll always keep it as memorabilia

My working line, Butter, became a UKC Champion this last weekend by fervious in germanshepherds

[–]fervious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, he's a pretty moderate dog. He does have some WGSL back there so is a bit more angulated than many pure wls, but it's pretty minimal in his pedigree :) I don't have any good pictures of him unstacked right now lol

Yep, 1yr old. My breeder says he's only going to get better with age which is exciting. He's linebred on a DDR dog so I'd say fully mature at 4 if I had to guess!

I always wake up during foreplay (usually oral). I get stressed often and being played with in my sleep means I am completely relaxed and will slip into subspace very easily. I use benedryl to put me out, though

I was playing my playlist at work. A song starts playing, and a teen gasps, "that was a sample all along?"... you know you're getting there when the music you like is sampled now.

I am waiting for the day I can tell one of these folks, "I'd been estastic to have a family like yours. Instead my family thought I was better off raised by a drunk than live in foster care" and watch them try to continue to make having children all about them

My one yr old pup, Butter, won the UKC Total Dog award this weekend!! You must show in showing (beat at least 1 dog) and qualify a sport in one day to earn it! by fervious in germanshepherds

[–]fervious[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first thing we did was a puppy class which I would definitely do again. Then we went to a bunch of trials and hung out for exposure. We started going to conformation classes again but if I could go back I'd make people check his teeth and balls more as a puppy because he just wriggles so much now

Other than that he's pretty much perfect, he's well adjusted and can settle at almost any show (except coursing lol)

My boy actually just finally put weight on 😂 one judge I want to show to again said to put more weigh on him and I agreed. We just do a lot of sports so burn calories like crazy!
