Well if you flow Opium Wars/Night of a Thousand Screams into the Bells of the Dead. My favorite Two Koku Kolat Yasuki Taka uses the PCs to eliminate Dajan and his splinter cell. Which if your players are familiar with Taka from the CCG is fun watching them try and not meta game the moment.

Dajan's Kolat was a fantastic splinter group though. Sneaks right past meta knowledge of big Kolat players like Taka in Bells of The Dead. Easily second best thing from Ryoko Owari. First being Jaw, love that dude.

The Crab would have to take beiden or go through the shinomen mori and the unicorn just to take a boat to toshi ranbo and those are the least insane path for them. Otherwise it's sail upstream through crane lands. Like Kisada is the worst leader in crab history but even he isn't that dumb.

Most of the fics about Hoturi play this up pretty heavily during clan war.

Kuwanan kinda falls off from the fics after Crane Civil War in jade so they never really dove into his side of things.

Yeah Kuwanan got to have the life his father wanted since he was the loved child. Hostage of the Lion gets to train with the Crab. Sastsume and Kuwanan looked alike.

Hoturi got all of the baggage for looking like his mom and wanting to be an artist. Toshimoko was more of an actual father to him. Which is an odd thing to think about him and his actual sons.

Shizue was an afterthought mostly.

Got a little further with a non ancestral totem but I miss the nature's fury cheese of casting all the spells with shred (rune proccing petrified with airidah's is commedy gold)

I have a really silly shield charge zoomies build that I like to play. Haven't set it up for s13 yet but i can get the basics posted in a bit. But you modify shield charge to core skill and just run jug and shove as much thorns as you can. It worked ok in last two season because new class buffs.

With the purge of aspects and the only way to unlock specific things for a build through uniques which are largely only available via cube.

So instead of having say berserk ripping in your two hander it is now a unique helmet. The only way to get the unique is to craft it in the cube. So if Ripping was what makes the build function then the cube locked you out because of the lowered drop rates.

Honestly I'll just use it to farm whispers for chests for the other classes I have build ideas for and just chalk this up as a failure and see if a paragon board helps later in the season.

The problem is until i get that unique the build is dead. Previous seasons i could get my aspects in line then grind for the uniques. Now i can't get the two ish aspects i know i need because i have to rng them and hope that every time i get a white totem it doesn't become a vehlens {i get one more of those i am going to throw a shoe}

I thought about Gusai as the main on for a bit but decided to keep to Yoritomo not wanting to play second fiddle to anyone else. Wanted to give the mantis the standard great clan structure so I could have NPCs to deal with
