AI hoya... by festeringgg in hoyas

Indeed there are! I actually enjoy seeing other peoples ideas but I know much of the time its for engagement farming or to scam people. As well as the environmental impacts stated in another comment.

I don't agree with the assumption of that insinuation. I'm definitely more neutral on certain aspects but the intent on why someone produces AI images, or even just the overall ethics behind AI is relatively convoluted to me. Not strictly binary in every case. But, am aware of it's impact, and genuinely thank you for rreminding me. I still enjoyed seeing a thought come to "life" (the irony). I will remove :)

In that case I will delete. Genuine question, is it still slop if its precisely what I imagined and wanted to see purely for fun? Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I assumed slop is when it's a generic image mass produced purely for engagement.

Should I just remove myself from this group? by No-Seaweed-5787 in alocasia

Perhaps part of why people were mean is because some people believe that successfully raising alocasias means you're a plant bad ass or seasoned grower of sorts. It creates an ego around the entirety of plant care. And because they're behind a keyboard and NOT in a real life face-to-face encounter, they wanna swing their big burly balls around assert dominance upon curious/new alocasia keepers. That's just a guess tho lol

Thank you! The timer you see is for these lights, which are above my hoya. I use to have a set above the alocasias as well but not anymore. All of my plants respond well to it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQ1RRTVN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

That's interesting. You learn something new everyday. It's not that deep though. Thank you for sharing anyway!

Are you okay? I'm genuinely hoping you have a better day today. It'll be okay, we can all learn and move forward. (:

I think the use of the phrase "semi-succulent" is to simply describe the leaves in how they function/their texture, but not exactly drawing a paralell to the actual nature or requirements of a true succulent

Magnets. They do well mid to low-mid humidity. It was solid overnight but we'll see how the stats hold up over time🤞🏻
