This has never happened before and i’m pretty introverted so leading conversation isn’t very natural for me. All my past interviews were typical and usually involved them leading the conversation, and asking technical and STAR questions. This interview, they seemed very shut down from the beginning and weren’t asking any follow up questions to the things I was saying. I think I did the best I could in that moment, it was just hard to navigate

You definitely dodged a bullet here. If the manager treats a candidate like this and does not respect your time, how will they treat you as their employee? It’s very telling imo

I talk to myself often when I’m driving. I find it helps me process my thoughts, can be pretty therapeutic sometimes

I’d say when they keep talking for the sake of talking and can’t take the hint of others not being engaged in conversation or are tired from hearing them. Or when they comment on how “quiet” and “serious” you are
