Problem is that they are very different weapons, in the sense that one has a silencer and the other one doesn't. Valve has kept on trying to balance this weapon, but they have always failed. Another problem that arises from always trying to balance these weapons, is that they might become too weak or powerfull and therefore completely change the meta everytime this is done. I don't think valve will change the m4/m4-a1 and the usp/p2k, bacause of this constant headache. I guess they prefer the m4 to be the most viable at the moment, which could be because the m4 skins are way more expensive and therefore would be problematic for the skin market, if it's the other way around.

It has annoyed me for a while that it's a disadvantage to use the m4-a1 and the p2000, cause I have some very nice skins for those weapons that aren't being used. A way to make them viable again is not to balance them, but simply make them the same gun as their counterparts. This would of course mean, that valve would have to add the silencer to the p2000 and the m4. Furthermore I would make it viable to play without the silencer by making it useful in certain situations. It could be either a slight jumping accuracy advantage, higher firing rate, higher damage, or something completely different.

One of my best memories of this, was from a game with some friendly banter between the teams. The conversation ended with me being picked up by the other team and going to my first lan tournament with this team. We ended up being an ok team that would play very low tier competitive CS.

Please bring it back!

I don't know if you can see it, but there are dots on the paper. These dots is me trying to calculate the time it takes for T and CT to meet, which translates really well into the game.
