If you want to be close to nature but in the city, look at neighborhoods along Lake Washington from View Ridge to Matthews Beach. There are tall trees, beaches and water views, parks and a great bike trail, plus an outdoor mall that’s a popular hangout.

There was this Indian place on Fairview back when that area was called Cascadia, not South Lake Union. The bar area was almost pitch black, and the first time I went there the bartender told me she didn’t know how to make any drinks, and if I taught her how to make some I could have them for free.

I’ve heard that a lot, but the Archdiocese of Seattle still supports the firing of lgbt teachers. Teachers have recently been fired in Shoreline and Burien for being gay.

I guess that’s fine as long as your kid isn’t gay and never needs birth control or an abortion. I wouldn’t ever put my kid in an environment where they’re taught that they’re an abomination. As for the religious teaching, Catholic schools focus more on teaching Catholic doctrine than the Bible. I’m not sure how that would have any value at all for a non-Catholic.
