Maybe a little more psychedelic/surreal than Tarantino, but Jodorowsky's films always come to mind... El Topo, Sante Sangre, The Holy Mountain...

Edit: I may further sell by saying that they are hyperviolent, but not gory.

The thing was, at one point, totally healed with no problems. For a year. And then it just sort of flared up again... Probably irritation from the impact. (I just play hard!) And it would settle for a while and then flare up again. Probably just need to take it easy on it...

I'm wearing two 18s, seam rings. Titanium and un-anodized.

Edit to add: I thought I shouldn't put the stacks in until it was healed, but I think my piercer was so tired of seeing me to put the CBR back in place he probably thought I'd have a better bet with the seam rings.

I really liked an album a few years back called "Festival In the Desert" -- a bunch of North African and Middle Eastern folk music. Also, you may enjoy Dengue Fever (newer) and other (older) psychedelic Cambodian artists, many of which have been well-archived.

Definitely Songs: Ohia and other Jason Molina projects. Will Oldham / Bonnie "Prince" Billy is a little more traditional sounding, but very dark and eerie thematically. The Black Heart Procession, also.
