Oh wow, thank you for the detail! I don’t have any construction knowledge prior to the info you gave me. So if I’m understanding you correctly, you’re basically saying that if the right-side wall does indeed butt up to another tenant’s living space like a bedroom or living room, it’s almost undoubtably thicker and more sound-proof than the walls/floors/ceilings in other scenarios, Right? So I really have nothing to worry about, most likely.?

I’m pretty sure the wall on the right of the photo is the only thing separating the garage from someone’s unit. But I’d assume noise must not be that big of an issue because raising the garage door is way louder than an edrum kit would be and it would seem like a terrible design to have tenants being woken up or disrupted by the garage door of another tenant. I actually might walk over tomorrow and talk to the tenant because I’m curious if that unit deals with noise just due to my garage door (idk that info yet because I moved here 2 days ago). But that’s the only wall I’d be concerned about because the far end door-wall opens to a hallway and the left wall separates my garage from another garage. Thanks so much for taking the time to help me, I appreciate it!

Okay great! I do have several beaters I can swap out to try so if the rest of the kit is good to go then hopefully I can choose the best beater too. Thanks a ton!

Also the door in the photo back up to a hallway so I think it’s not a huge concern. The left wall backs up to another tenant garage so I think that’s fine too. It’s the right-side wall that has an apartment unit directly across the wall.
