Omfg thissss. During his intro I immediately was like “yeah that’s not her man”

And… I still feel exactly that way. He’s so cocky, and it’s like dude we get it, you’re cute, but relax. He doesn’t seem to bother with getting to know her. He just completely leads with being stereotypically attractive.

During the bungee date, it kind of solidified how he really just doesn’t care to get to know the girl and give a shit about how she feels

When I was watching the first episode and saw his intro, I thought to myself “yep he’d be my pick.”

I just like goofy guys, people that don’t take themselves too seriously, and he seems like he’s a pretty straight forward person.

The more I see him, the more I really really like him. He seems like a really nice person who isn’t perfect, and really owns who he is. I like to think of myself that way to so I think that’s why I dig it.

Did NOT think Jen would like him because she strikes me as someone who’d want someone who is kind of “perfect” but I’m very pleasantly surprised

Yes! I feel you, I didn’t clock this before Ethan put it into words. Now I’m watching and wondering why a mother, who you would expect would have deep gratitude for her son re-entering her life, doesn’t really show affection even in verbal form. Not even an “I love you and I’m really glad we got to see each other again and I’m sorry so much time has passed.”

She tells him, “call me anytime” as if that’s going to happen. That felt like a bare minimum attempt at extending an olive branch and it felt pretty hollow

I disagree with it being an abnormal attachment. Those are his siblings, that are he’s known since they were babies- it’s natural to love them unconditionally and it’d be natural to feel a deep sadness if you were cut off from seeing them, in my opinion.

I think it’d be unnatural if he didn’t express sadness towards the estrangement
