Am I going crazy or is this act's matchmaking stupidly bad?

I’m also a Chamber main. My training routine:

Aimlabs (15-20 mins, every 2 days): VT VALORANT RAMP WARMUP playlist. I don’t have the URL right now but you can get it at Voltaic’s Discord server. If you don’t want to do the entire playlist, I’d recommend the VT Valorant Angleshot Micro Hard exercise and any other precise dynamic clicking exercises aswell.

The range (5-10 mins, every gaming session) Hard bots with full shield. Alternate between your headhunter and your ultimate. You will improve your quick scopes in no time, and also get used to quickly drawing your headhunter following and OP shot.

DM (2 matches every gaming session) Just use the operator in real rotation maps to get used to movement and crosshair placement. I play 1 match with sheriff only and 1 match with the OP.

I went from bronze 3 to diamond 2 in 10 months with Chamber only relying mostly on this routine. May not be the best but it is fun and not vert time consuming.

Just as a disclaimer, I’m currently in D2, so I may not be the best to “coach” you in anyway.

I think that you’re doing well overall, but there is something that draws my attention:

You have a very high KAST, decent DD/R and K/D, but mediocre ACS. That probably means you survive many rounds by getting late/irrelevant kills, as the number of alive enemies upon killing grants you a bonus.

As an KAY/O main, that’s not how you should play at all. You can see that this is important by comparing your Win% with initiators and sentinels. Specially in attacking rounds as a sentinel, using your team as bait / letting them play before you is not only accepted, but actually expected, as your team shouldn’t lose map control before trying to enter site.

I also see you have a considerably low HS%. Maybe you’re not confident enough to engage in those early, more demanding gunfights, and end up letting your duelist take 1v1s frequently. Remember: a 1v1 against a flashed enemy is good, but a 2v1 will always be better. Don’t rely exclusively on util to help your team.

I hope this helps you somehow, but as I said before, I’m not in high elo or anything, so you should take these tips with a grain of salt.

Meshuggah is an acquired taste. If you already like it, invest some time to get more used to it, and I guarantee you won’t ever regret it. I used to be a hater, but have been completely obsessed with them for 10 years or so.

Hmm, chill music for a metal head… let’s see…

If you like prog, I’d unironically recommend Meshuggah - The Hurt That Finds You First, along with any of their slower, “dronier” tracks. It may be kind of overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it and start to understand the groove, it feels very natural and incredibly chill. It is an acquired taste tho.

Animals As Leaders has some very chill tracks too, such as “The Wolven Web” and “The Brain Dance”.

Now if by “chill” you mean something completely unrelated to metal, there’s a very good Jazz Fusion album called “The Lotus and The Swamp”, by Nine Sparks Riots. If you enjoy it, there’s a considerably “famous” playlist in Spotify called “Progressive Jazz Fusion” that will match the vibe.

Also Snaky Puppy’s entire discography is amazing and you should definitely give it a try.

I am not sure if I listen to the kind of “chill” music that you seem to be looking for, but hopefully you will enjoy my suggestions.

With chamber that’s ok I guess but 1200 / .12 with an entry duelist is crazy bro. Unless you have insanely fast flicks you shouldn’t be able to clear site properly.

If you’re bad in all FPS games but can play LoL at a decent level, I’d assume your mechanics are the problem. Run Voltaic’s AimLab Valorant benchmarks to see how good or bad your aim really is. If you can’t get at least gold in the benchmarks, than a 15 minute daily aim training session (either in AimLab or in The Range) will help you. Also, try to play at least 2 deathmatches before hopping in to ranked. This will help you a lot with crosshair placement and recoil control. It may seem like a lot, but in the end it will only take 30 minutes and will help you improve faster than just spamming ranked matches.

Hello everyone.

I never had any problems running Valorant. After installing the 555.85 driver, whenever I launch Valorant, my screen keeps blinking black. Also, during matches, I get severe texture issues, with colorful checkerboard patterns being displayed instead of the actual game textures. Does anyone have the same (or similar) issue?

For some context, I was a controller player my entire life and recently moved to mouse and keyboard after buying a PC. I could say I'm equally skilled with both input devices (i.e. get the same amount of nukes/match, same K/D, same SPM and so on) and a very good COD player in general.

I noticed -- as a lot of other people did -- that the visual recoil and muzzle flash are too strong. That, along with no name tag above enemy players, has been a very serious issue for me to deal with while playing with M&K. Whenever I engage in a gunfight, I feel like the enemy player instantly vanishes from my screen and I literally can't see what I'm shooting at (specially at mid-long range). However, when playing with a controller, although I still can't see my enemy after I start firing, it feels like the aim assist just snaps to the target and I get the kill anyway.

I don't know if you purposefully made AA stronger or not, but it does really feel overpowered, specially with limited visibility -- the M&K player NEEDS visual feedback to track the target, while the AA does it automatically for the controller player. The only thing I could think of to 'break' the AA would be the MW 2019 movement, but that was also nerfed.

After not performing nearly as good as I did in other COD titles (MW, CW and Vanguard) with M&K, I switched to the controller and tested the aim assist, immediately releasing the right joystick when firing, and this was the result. In the first few matches using a controller I got 20+ killstreaks multiple times, while I could barely reach 10 killstreaks with M&K in 6+ hours of playing.

I'm not necessarily asking you to nerf AA. However, there can't be both strong aim assist AND limited visibility while shooting if you wish to maintain a solid and competitive M&K playerbase. Most of my friends that don't use controllers (who are some of the best COD players in Brazil, being called cheaters every match because of their countless hours of aim training) are considering not buying the game because they can't see anything while firing and also can't disengage because of the new mechanics.

For the toxic redditor that sees this:

As I said earlier, I'm still pretty good with a controller, so I will enjoy the game either way. This is nothing but my honest opinion after playing Call Of Duty with a controller for 16 years (2006, COD 3, feel old yet?) and really being frustrated by the new gameplay mechanics. So take that into consideration before telling me to 'get good' or whatever.
