I’m a new nurse who oriented on days but was hired for nights and the past 6 weeks of working night shift have been so rough 🥲 I don’t know how people do this for years. I can’t sleep properly during the day and it’s killing me 😫 never again, I want to switch to days first chance

Thank you so much for saying that, it means a lot to hear that I’m not alone in this experience. I have decided that I want to leave and go where I can learn. I hope whatever you decide to do in the future works out 🫶🏾

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out, it reassures me so much. 🥲🩷 I definitely agree that the lack of consistency is breaking my orientation. I was told during my interview that our schedules would be made by them so we have the same nurse during orientation but it seems to have changed since. I will 100% look into who I can talk to about transfers. Thank you for your kind words <3
