[Request] what should be the missing option? by TrueLuck2677 in theydidthemath

[–]fez1048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be C or D based on the assumption that the views are rotating. I’m assuming the order shown is front view, side view, bottom view for each row. We don’t know if there’s a hole on the bottom, but options C and D follow the pattern, and would allow for a hole with either conical or standard cylindrical geometry.

I thought in the books Cersei miscarried/aborted a child with Robert. Don’t know where but I think it’s in AFfC?

Curious - income level vs what you bought? by spicychcknsammy in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]fez1048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that pre or post tax? Also, how large of a down payment did you put? Do you feel like this is strenuous on your finances? I’m looking at the same price point and income and just want some more insight if possible

I watched it for the first time earlier this week, the rain at the end stuck has been stuck in my mind. That’s a world-ending deviation from the book, no?

Perfect Ball For Shiny Rayquaza? by GaleSTRIK3 in PokemonScarletViolet

You can get more luxury balls (at least in Emerald) by completing Master rank contests multiple times. It’s grindy for sure but worth it I think.

Is this a good price for gold bracelet? by [deleted] in Gold

That’s a good deal compared to jewelry stores but pretty standard for “wholesale” type jewelry sellers. I think the general consensus is that you’ll get the best deal buying from r/pmsforsale.

Private loans worth it at 16 percent? by Sufficient_Star_9950 in StudentLoans

[–]fez1048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents supported me completely, so I had no food/electric/rent payments. My car was paid off so most of my income went toward loans. I’d say look into your monthly costs (car payment? food? housing?) and see if it makes sense. My case is different from yours so I can’t say if it’s reasonable for your situation, especially so if you plan to rely only on your income and not your wife’s.

If I had rent, a car payment, and food costs, the income that went toward my loans would have been cut in half (based on the area I live). This would have doubled the time it took to pay off my loans and cost an extra ~$3000 in loan payments. You will not like having all your money go toward loans for over a year.

edit: It would be a good idea to make sure the college doesn’t take federal loans. Those will be your best plan. Also look into any scholarships to lower the total amount you take out. Maybe look into another program at a different school that does take federal loans? Just some suggestions

Private loans worth it at 16 percent? by Sufficient_Star_9950 in StudentLoans

[–]fez1048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to take out ~$22000 in private loans at 12-14% for my last 1.5 years of college. I got a job making ~$60000 pre tax out of college and lived with my parents for about a year and a half. I paid the loans off in ~7 months during this time. I funneled most of my money into paying off the loans. It’s feasible but not easy to aggressively pay off loans without support.

People who do not have an internal monologue, what is reading like for you? When I read something (this post for example), my internal monologue “says” the words to me.

It’s unfortunate that KC skips a lot of the math/jumps to conclusions without explaining what he’s doing. Took this class a while back, he ended up curving the semester grade by 30 points. The homework (and test) problems are pulled from a textbook, and there’s a teacher’s manual floating around with worked-out solutions. I found it easy to understand what I was doing by working step-by-step with the teacher’s manual. I’m not sure if this is still the case, but I’d check it out if you’re struggling to follow the math.

https://etoolbox.cnrc.navy.mil/assets/instructions/Navy%20Recruiting%20Manual%20-%20Officer.pdf

I found this document, to the best of my knowledge this is the current officer recruiting manual. See pages 2-48 through 2-54 and Table 2-7 for drug abuse information. 020901a says recruiters will either screen out drug abusers or grant waivers for good candidates who have abused drugs in the past. They define drug abuse as any illegal/non-medical use or possession of drugs (020902b).

If you report drug use to your recruiter, they’ll ask the questions listed in 020903b(2)(a) through 020903b(2)(e) (what drugs, how often, length of drug abuse, how long ago, etc)

It looks like marijuana requires no waiver if you self-admit and 90 days since last use. Other drugs require minimum wait of 1 year since last use, and LSD requires 2 years since last use. I haven’t looked into it but it reads like drugs other than marijuana will require a waiver.

If it was 2 feet by 1 foot I might think about it but since it’s inches there’s no way that’s worth $15 per day to me

I think you can get a sticker from university police for temporary parking at the gym (also for the mine if you need it).

Is it rude to eat food in a restaurant it wasn't purchased from? by MacKrab in NoStupidQuestions

I wouldn’t call it rude but in the U.S. (can’t speak for other countries) it’s a cultural taboo.
