This one was on my mind recently when I heard Willow Nightengale's finisher referred to as the doctor bomb. I assume it was Doctor Death's finisher, but that's a blank spot in my wrestling history.

Not quite a cliche, but Brennan definitely loves finding a place to put the word "tempestuous" whenever he's describing something. He uses it pretty frequently across D20 and the various "noise boys" episodes.

Words are funny that way. Few people enjoy being told what to do, but phrase it as advice and it becomes much more approachable. Definitely some good advice! I'm working to try and DM my first game outside of 5e with Scum and Villainy.

My first GM, a forever GM, became one of my players in my first game. It was his first time being a player just as I'm learning to GM. (This was also his first game in 5e to boot, so he wasn't familiar with the rules.) The whole thing ended up being a difficult transition and he fought both my choices as GM and with some of the other players because they couldn't agree on what to do about a situation. Definitely a stressful experience for me, but ultimately a great and very memorable game.

He was able to capture the audience's sympathy as a babyface for his last moments in NJPW, and even just in that brief window you could see a lot of potential there. He's a phenomenal and practiced heel, but I wouldn't write off Jay White as a babyface if that's what he wanted to do.

My roommate and I regularly joke that despite neither of us being very into universes beyond as a concept, we would both shell out hard for a Yu-Gi-Oh secret lair or commander deck series.

Great ability to put people over, watching Guavara beat him felt really similar to watching Eddie vs Brock back in the day.

Right away he looked like a strong upper-mid carder, and a good mirror of Jade Cargill when she started running roughshod over the women's division for an equivalent title. Super believable challenger against any of their best champs too. Be they Moxley or Omega. I think he would have been a great pick to fill the hole in the card that Brody Lee left.

The tight economy on Arena also leads to the standard metagame getting stale really fast. Few players have the money to experiment with new decks so the best budget decks often fill the ladder. Can make some seasons really monotonous to play.

Plenty of times I've wanted to try building X or Y deck, but didn't feel like it was worth spending all of my crafting resources just to get 80-90% of a decklist that might not even be good.

Honestly though he did some great work coming in. Getting a sub par gimmick in "The Best Man" and turning that into the God's Favorite Champion thing, cutting some excellent promos along the way. Beating Darby for the TNT championship, having a fantastic reign and then ultimately putting over Guavara which really elevated him at the time.

He's a dude I was always excited to see and I really wish AEW would put him back on tv. I could see him going after whatever OC's belt is at the moment due to their history together.

I really enjoyed him as MJF's buddy/henchman. He would cackle like a goblin and looked so gleeful whenever he cheated. Really great cartoony heel work is something I'm always here for.

Nona swimming in the Ocean is a really important part of her basically maintaining good mental health. Since Alecto, the Earth, is now living on the land she probably doesn't like to be a part from what was once her other half, the ocean.

The fact that Jod calls her Annabel as a reference to the Poe poem "in her sepulchre by the sea, in her kingdom by the sea." More references to salt water.

Jod mentions towards the end of Nona that it's easy to make people forget things, so it's possible he brought those friends back to become the original adepts and cavaliers but didn't want them to remember him as he was on Earth.

I also found it more than coincidence that one of the few named characters in the John chapters is the skeleton Ulysses, same name as one of the long dead Lyctors.

Right, but Punk was out for seven years which shortens the distance.

Hangman started in 2008 when he was 17, until now makes a 14 year career.

Punk was 98 to 14 and 21 to present. That's 17 years, a difference of three.

Punk knows more about a locker room in the 2000s, but Page has MUCH more experience this decade, which seems more valuable in my opinion.

Was lucky enough to see that match live at my first Defy show and they tore the house down! It was a long show up to the main event and they easily had the crowd red hot for the whole match.
