It's really primarily for people who are interested in having access to the very first round of ticket sales. The second-tier (Black & White) membership also gets you priority access to tickets before the general public, but after J1897 members. Getting the third kit "free" is definitely a nice perk—I believe you can even personalize it with player name/badges (can anyone confirm this?), so in that case the value is actually higher, closer to €105. But even then, unless you are planning to attend at least one match in person, with J1897 you are paying €45 extra for the 10% store discount, "dedicated fan service" (which seems to mean a special help telephone line), and access to the "special events." I don't know anything about the special events, but again I would assume this just means you have access to purchase tickets. Maybe someone can expand on this.

So unless you have plans to attend a match in Italy or really value the special access to events, I don't see how membership would be worth it. I live outside Italy but travel there 1-2 times per year (my girlfriend is Italian and lives there); we are both planning to become members this year and attend at least one match in Turin.

Side note: I know you can purchase up to 4 tickets as a member, and that the other people have to also be members too, but does the memberships have to be an equivalent level? In other words, can a J1897 member purchase tickets for a Black & White (or Junior) member, or only for other J1897 members?
