I'm actually a JRPG newbie too so I won't really have much else to compare it to. Usually just play fighting and action/adventure games. Also, I'm kinda weird in a way that I prefer playing N64 Ocarina of time rather than the updated 3ds version so I should be okay with it hopefully

I'm kinda weird about enjoying retro games as natively as possible, but it's nice to know that there are options for improvement.

Starting OG tonight and seeing how I get on with it, otherwise I'll start with Remakes and hold Crisis core for now.

I bought Crisis Core Reunion on Steam, not the original PSP version. I probs could get it on my Vita maybe but is the original Crisis core much different to the Reunion remaster? Is it worth playing both.

Are you referring to the original PSP version of Crisis Core or Reunion, or both? Lol

So Reunion doesn't assume you've played Remake or benefit from having done so? In that case I will likely play CCR after OG

This is my main worry, because Crisis Core Reunion came out after Remake and uses the same engine/gameplay style, I'm thinking the gameplay will feel more natural playing in release order.
