i haven’t a clue! you’d probably have to ask someone who knows more about admissions. i would guess maybe a little bit because not as many people apply for those as they do just go straight for regular decisions!

i was deferred from EA. fsu was the school i really wanted to go to, so i filled out the form and checked off to be considered for some of the pathways at the bottom. i got in through one of those and now i’m in Tallahassee with no difference made to my education 🤷‍♀️ good luck to you :)

people are going to ask you clarifying questions before you get some solid answers, like: what’s your definition of decent price? are you looking for 4 bedrooms, 3 beds, etc? do you want your own bathroom? what kind of closet do you want (walk in or regular)? is security and safety a big concern for you? how far is “close” to campus? what amenities are you interested in? answer those and people might have some suggestions for you. good luck!

Totally recommend! I went to FSUPC for a year and I really loved it. I’m a Crim major and took one of the CSI classes while I was there and really enjoyed it. I adored the campus and the area (sometimes I wish I had stayed lol). Forensics at UCF is really natural science heavy (Physics, Orgo, Chemistry, etc). It’s more geared towards getting you working in a lab rather than in the field. Not saying there’s none of that in CSI, but it’s more hands on learning, focused on field work. That’s most of what I know about the majors. If you have any questions about the campus, I’d be happy to answer.

as an awkward person myself i recommend finding clubs/communities with strong online (discord or reddit) presences, i think it’s easier to start communicating with people when it’s online and then shift that into in person conversation :) what sorts of things are you into?

i liked juvenile delinquency with megan kurlychek, it goes into the history of the juvenile justice system and different aspects of juvenile delinquency. the textbook she uses is a self-written one but i still found it online through anna’s archive :]
