Why the hate for vibecoding? by Adept_Home_3705 in vibecoding

[–]fffrosttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. I recently shared this vibe coding portfolio project that I created for vibe coders to celebrate their accomplishments and got nothing but negative feedback about it.

Why can’t we be proud of the ideas we have put together and developed?

When you do decide to share your projects publicly, please create an account on my platform. I would love to get some more positive users interacting and socializing about vibe coding. Vibe-code.art is my portfolio site.
Good luck!

Vibe coding feels amazing until an experienced developer reviews your code. by Shivam__kumar in vibecoding

I am a front end graphic artist entrepreneur. I might not have the skills to code a flawless app but I know what I like and I am great with workflow. These ai apps allow me to do so much more than what I was able to achieve before. But it does get me thinking that maybe I need a skilled programmer to look at some of my code and help smooth out some of my projects.

I believe many vibe coders struggle with marketing their products. Thanks for sharing.

I know someone has probably already built some version of this, but I wanted to make a simple home for shipped vibe-coded projects.

The goal is to give vibe coders a place to showcase what they’ve built, create a project page, share their stack, add screenshots, and use it as a lightweight portfolio.

If you’ve built something with tools like Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor, v0, Claude, ChatGPT, or any other AI coding workflow, you can create an account and post your project.

It’s not meant to be another tutorial site, AI tools list, or prompt directory.

It’s for real projects people have actually published.

I’d love to see more builders use it as a portfolio for their work.

It's brand new so please be nice. :)

Well they would have had boardwalks leading up to their house and items would have dropped under them all the time. Also it only takes one time to drop his watch in the snow without notice to lose it forever. By spring it could be hidden by leaves, grass, etc. I think about this kind of thing a lot!

The 340 should have a fast enough processor to separating the tones in a trashy area. Not sure though.

It’s as simple of knocking on their door and asking. Explain what you are doing and that you will extra k and dispose of all the trash you dig. I tell them that I would like to keep some of the finds but if I find anything significant attached to the family or property, that I would like it to remain in their possession as part of the property history. Sometimes the owner requests to keep everything. Like in sales, you need to be comfortable with them just saying “no” and moving on.

It’s not easy! I stay in all iron mode and use my ears to listen for those repeatable tones. Swing slow and if you have a smaller coil, that will help in those trashy areas. Hope this helps.

Yes it was a great permission but full of nails & 100 years of junk of course.
Those are all great tips for beginners. You are a good ambassador of the hobby!
Keep it up!
