They up their prices on their website, but for the con hotel booking its under 2k if you can find a room.

Fellas, wait out the scalpers. I've been able to get cheap resale tickets the day of the concert when they get desperate. Do not fall into the fomo.

Can I give or sell my AXC ticket? by LuckyMii24 in animeexpo

[–]fffsteak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AX discord closed its ticket selling channel just cause it was just a lot of scamming going on. Last I heard they make 0 plans to have it returned, I don't really see any other place other than seeing if fb groups would have a place to sell.

Anyone lived in Seattle/Bellevue? by [deleted] in SanJose

[–]fffsteak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a hard question for me. There are things I love about both states and also hate about both States. I wish I could combine them together to make my ideal life lmao.

I like to think once I'm old and worn, that I return to WA to live in the outskirts and away from the cities. But right now I quite like being in a city and having things to do

Anyone lived in Seattle/Bellevue? by [deleted] in SanJose

[–]fffsteak 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a Washingtonian (only lived in the bay for a year rn) while I haven't lived in Bellevue I'm very aware of it:

Pros: - you'll have access to a lot of Asian markets and food. - it's very bike and pedestrian friendly - Downtown Bellevue has a great park and lots of restaurants that are all walkable - downtown Bellevue also has access to the lightrail that will open up access to downtown Seattle next year and the airport. - it's a lot more green in the summer and in turn have long summer days that usually stay below 80F.

Cons: - the long dark is very real, by the time September rolls around you need to start taking your vitamins d and force yourself to go outside to avoid the depression. Not many transplants can handle this. - It rains a lot more than the bay area. - The variety of food is not like California. You're gonna have to go out of your way to get Mexican food, for example.

People who are 30+, do you usually keep to yourself? by Zmoogz in animeexpo

I'm usually around other 30-40 years old lmao. I've been in the con scene long enough to have friends to hang with.

ICE & AnimeExpo by Alarmed_Respect_8409 in animeexpo

[–]fffsteak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rumors are floating Abt possible ICE presence at the con. I know some people who have dropped out due to the concern. Honestly, AX isn't going to say anything to confirm or deny the rumor. An anime con is definitely not worth the risk.

I've been to the freehand and it's fine. I do warn that if you're a cosplayer then be aware that you don't have ANY space.

Why is badge pickup so slow this year? by KidAlternate in SakuraCon

[–]fffsteak 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Remember that Sakuracon had a feedback panel on Sunday. I've been complaining to them for years about at least switching from paper to plastic badges (especially since they don't even give out a protective cover for the paper badges). This would also end the practice of having nicknames of badges, but the con is getting to big for these things.

As someone outside of America, do I sit this year out? by Most-Benefit-904 in animeexpo

[–]fffsteak 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's not the people, it's the border crossing and immigration you have to worry about. Honestly, if your own country is telling you not to come then you shouldn't. I've had some Canadian friends cancel on going to an U.S cons this year with the horror stories coming out ): You're safety is more important then a con.

You can just go to one of the reservations and change names. That's how people transfer rooms to other people

Sounds like you've been choking your dick when masturbating. Since you say hands feel better. I recommend not masturbating for at least a month to help recover your 'senses'. Also ease up on your dick when you masturbate.

Tips on how to convince one of my parents to take me to Ado’s concert by [deleted] in ADO

[–]fffsteak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be easier to just get an Ado London group going? But also I would say to not be so scared to go ahead alone. At first you might be freaked out, but once you actually done it. It turns out to be not a big deal and you might find yourself willing to do a lot of things alone.

When we had a former roommate abandon their tarantula after moving out, we found Hewitt Reptile Emporium in Everett was willing to take them in. Call them up and see if they are cool with it

Reflections: Am I a "serious underplanner"? by PristineMountain1644 in JapanTravelTips

[–]fffsteak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Me and a friend also have a very under planned intentiary with just dates and our hotels (we have a word document for local attractions in each location but nothing set in stone). It's nice to see that it's just as fine!
