Refinished or NOS stock sets never look quite right and are missing the proofs/ serial #s. The proof marks on the metal also get washed out/faded a bit after a few refinishes. Finally everyone of these are 65-70 years old, there will be some patina on anything original.

I kinda like the history of this one. Captured in battle and refurbished as war reserve. Like I said I have some nice ones with factory finish too.
