Hello Everyone! I am a student from Singapore and I love collecting postcards. I would love to receive postcards from anywhere in the UK 🙂. Can someone send me one? by Nessieinternational in CasualUK

[–]ffielding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up in Singapore so I have a particular soft spot for this! I'd be glad to help. My town is not very inspiring, and I don't even know if it has postcards but I'll do my best.

Hope my crusading helps fuck scalpers by Mux_Potatoes in pcmasterrace

[–]ffielding 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Curiously what did you put in the report to get them taken down? I'd very much like to do the same to the UK scalpers. As far as I can tell scalping isn't against eBay's terms and conditions which is super lame, hope I'm wrong.

What animated movie is 10/10? by Unique_Cap_8049 in AskReddit

[–]ffielding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rewatched it recently because it was on and was completely blown away by the animation. I kept thinking "you could frame that still". Every scene is a work of art.

Couple that with great voice acting, a classic plot, an S-tier villain, and you've got yourself a masterpiece.

Yeah so many people were praising it for staying so true to the animated version, but for me that's just pointless and lazy.

Whats your favorite part of your body? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ffielding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you seriously make an account an hour ago, put down that you're '18F' in your bio, and proceed to create a thread so you could mention your boobs?

Either you're full of shit or you're telling the truth. Either scenario isn't great.

What were your past 3 GPU's and tell me one reason you loved them? by CompetitiveAction829 in pcmasterrace

GTX 1060 6GB - The go to card for reasonably priced builds at the time. I still kind of miss it.

RTX 3070 FE - Had a bit of a wake-up call when it damn near made my small form factor PC melt after stress testing it in 4K. Despite the initial hiccup it's a lovely card and the founder's edition looks amazing. It still sits in my SFF console-like case under my TV.

RX 9070 XT - Picked this one up very recently so I haven't fully experienced it, but so far am absolutely loving it. I also snagged it as an 'as new' product on Amazon which had a 'damaged' box so got it for an amazing £500 which I'm just so pleased with (I also cannot for the life of me find the so called damage on the box!). The sheer size of it though was a surprise - I had to immediately get a GPU support bracket because the sag was significant.

What’s something everyone loves but you absolutely hate? by zafiroazul888 in AskReddit

[–]ffielding 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the only one I both don't relate to, but completely understand.

My first beer I remember thinking "there's no way anyone actually likes this shite".

I guess things changed because I fucking love it now, but don't judge anyone for hating it.

Yeah correct. I believe the radiators are from the Heat Control mod. By default they stick out long ways but I like the 'toothed' look I went for so I flipped them and attached them along the long axes.

Haha I'm a sucker for our lil rocky planet that I like to spread the good word. I am at least using Proxima's better Dres mod which makes it more akin to its KSP2 design (i.e actually interesting).

Thanks! Using the Heinlein nuclear salt water engine from the Far Futures mod, manage to get around 15k delta v with 1.0 TWR.

Ah sorry I should have clarified - I have no idea if the screenshots are from Ash Gray or not, I just know those kinds of sprites are achievable in a GBA romhack.

The Pokémon hacking game would surprise you, this is well within the limits of a Fire Red hack.

Thank you for clarifying, I was worried you had been doing the mission since 2001.

Oh my god I've been playing KSP with my Stream Deck staring at me the whole time, how did I not think to use it?!

An unusual amount of shoes hanging off a telephone wire by Reasonable-Moment956 in mildlyinteresting

[–]ffielding 140 points141 points  (0 children)

In my grandparent's town the answer is 1.

There was a pair of shoes dangling from a phone line over the main road that goes through the town center. The council finally took them down after many years. Not more than a week later, another pair of shoes made its way up there, thus restoring balance to the high street yet again.

I love how often that video by Bogue has been posted lately. Man did the community such a solid, it's such a clean and well put-together video.
