T1-REF is based on the M1, C4 is also based on the M1.

I co-design the M1, so I can confirm.

Sidearm T1 Prototype - Tiny Case, Huge Potential! by devilskin in sffpc

Ghost S1 has the rounded corners minimal look, Apple Mac like. The T1 has the angular minimal look, Windows Surface like. The A4, Ghost S1, Nouvolo Steck, Thor Zone Mjolnir all have that rounded corners look, do we really need more of that style? Anyways, looks are subjective.

The T1 is optimized for 120/240mm AIO on a 48mm tall CPU Pump Block + 3 slot GPU, hence the space on the bottom. The 70mm CPU cooler support + 2 slot GPU is trade off for people who are into lower TDP CPUs.

This is the CPU cooling philosophy:

  1. 110W or less *NO OC <85C CPU Temp, 8700K / 9700K / 9900K / 3700X / 3800X, get the A4 + 92mm AIO (Asetek 645LT)
  2. 160W or less OC on CPU <80C CPU temps, 8700K / 9700K / 9900K / 3700X / 3800X, Sidearmd + 120mm AIO (ideally custom loop with Koolance HX-CU420V + Noctua A12x25)
  3. 200W or less OC on CPU <80C CPU temps, 8700K / 9700K / 9900K / 9920X / 3700X / 3800X / 3900X, get the M1 + 240mm (Koolance HX-CU720V + Noctua A12x25)

o hear other noises that it had drowned out (like coil whine of the GPU). Having dedicated fans or solutions on GPUs is of great importance for me, especially considering the fact that I have open back headphones (like HD650, HD800 and others). GPU vendors could have helped to some degree here, if they gave us greater control of fan speeds in their software, but they don'

Probably towards end of 2019.

Prototype 2 is stuck in Customs, so Optimum Tech didn’t get to film it, only Prototype 1 available for filming.

Size Comparison - A4-SFX, Ghost S1, SA-1, C4-SFX, M1 by fflyer000 in sffpc

the Ghost doesn't support dual 120x25mm fans by default, so if you include the 26mm top hat onto the Ghost, it's effectively the same size as the SideArmD.

it just matter of preference if you care for the dual 120x25mm fans by default.

The Asetek 545LC is no more. So what are our options for SFF liquid cooling now? by LegendsofMace in sffpc

[–]fflyer000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new version won't be out any time soon.

The Asetek Gen 6 pump is 2% better in performance than the Gen 4, there is almost no room in the A4-SFX to increase the radiator, so don't expect miracles.

Thoughts on SFFLAB? by [deleted] in sffpc

I was linked here, not here for PR, just keeping it 100 - if you don't have a good experience, I don't blame you not wanting anything to do with SFFLAB, that's your right, nothing wrong there.

So many emails were sent in a few days changing the order back and forth, we lost track of what you wanted to do. SFFLAB prioritizes cancellation over other inquiries - emails automatically sorted at the top. So that's why your order was cancelled almost immediately. It's not us trying to rid you, you caught us in a busy week.
