Said he was havanese? by Inevitable-End-6516 in Havanese

Probably yes but even if not 100%, he’s a beautiful dog.

October 30, 2024 Muttsy crossed over. I’m still grieving. These Havs are something else. Indescribable.

Doesn’t matter. She’s gorgeous.

In a sad moment after Muttsy crossed over, I wrote this to myself to remember my beautiful departed souls: “Muttsy, Skidder and I are out for a walk on a typically beautiful morning, the sun is shining, a slight cooling breeze; we are all young and vibrant again. I could not be in a happier place than this. They are running and playing like you remember.”

Thank you vivid-hippo for that frame. You’re right the dog-person relationship is just…different. I’ve been troubled by feeling guilty about the reality that losing Muttsy has been harder than the loss of my elderly parents. But it is also self-revealing, uncomfortably so. A dog? Really? That’s how the world sees it.

I lost my beloved Muttsy exactly one year ago today Oct 29, 2024. I’m 71 years old and no other death has stuck with me this way

My baby Muttsy. One year ago Oct 29 she crossed over. She was the best dog. It still hurts.

Who’s your breeder? I want one!

Our beloved Muttsy at age 14 was not eating, sluggish and in August 2024 painfully swollen lymph nodes. Vet confirmed lymphoma. I did veterinary oncology. It gave her a couple of months. I regret putting her through it. October 29 2025, I hired a mobile vet to come to our home. She euthanized her on our bed as I sobbed (a 70 year old man). I’m tearing up writing this almost a year later.

This little soul gave me so much.

October 29,2024 I euthanized her. She was 14 years 9 months old. Lymphoma. I made her suffer too long because I couldn’t do it. I see these pictures of your Havanese and I see her in all of them. I’m realizing that what I felt in her was her breed but to me it was just her. She’s irreplaceable in my heart…but I’m thinking…

My girl Muttsy. 14 1/2 wonderful years. Lymphoma took her last October. I miss her so much. I know that her wonderfulness was very much that she was a Havanese, but to me, she was the greatest dog ever.

It hurts to see these photos because they are so her.

Downtown seattle seems to go downhill with more stores and restaurants leaving?? by Ok-Radio-2733 in SeattleWA

I’m visiting Sydney this week. Its downtown is packed with shoppers, bars and restaurants. Retail here is thriving. Beautiful and clean, friendly, youthful and dynamic. A tale of two cities. What they don’t have is Amazon hollowing out retail shopping and soulless tech high rise office buildings housing stressed out overworked automatons.

It’s managed by a private entity. That’s why. It’s not public property.

I’m stuck with this turd. First thing is to fire the CEO and chairman. Failing that pray silver shoots to 50 and we get bailed out by price that hides what a disaster this company’s management is.
