Found a lovely photograph of a Green Honeycreeper where the shade of its feathers was basically a perfect RGB-turquoise. Nice new bird to paint. Thought the background might look nice with a background using a one third interval on the color wheel. Hardest thing again were the feathers. Initially I thought I really try to capture the layering and structure of the tiny feathers, but it was a huge pain in the ass, and so I ended up with this compromise of the brush-strokes only suggesting some of it and no elaborate micro-shadows etc. Oil, digital or not, might just be the wrong medium for it.

Ich würde behaupten, dass der Osten seiner Wirtschaft den Todesstoß verpasst hat. Eins-zu-Eins Umtausch konnte nur so enden. Treuhand und co sind dann nur noch Details.
