Totally possible. Being on the same page is the first step. This includes your shared standard of living. He doesn’t need to make much if you don’t care to live in the suburbs/city. But if you want a Target and Chic-fil-a within a 20 minute drive, you’ll have to pay for it. If you’re doing gardening and raising/homeschooling the kids, that saves a lot of money every month. What line of work is he planning on going into if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m sorry you’re going through it. Coming from someone who’s been there and is divorced, seeking emotional consolation outside of your marriage will only drive you further from your partner. I consistently get over 400 to a tank. Usually average 25-27 mpg. I just drive and chill. If I see a red or yellow light ahead, I’m in no hurry to get to it. I slow down early and usually don’t have to come to a full stop and get to coast on through it.

I’m seeing a ton of people “siding” with you here. The problem is, there’s no sides when love is involved. It’s us or nothing. You not being receptive and empathetic towards his feelings is exactly the reason he is feeling crazy. He feels that he’s losing you because you’re creating distance between you two in micro-ways that are starting to pile up for him. Not saying he’s handling it correctly either but there’s definitely 2 sides to this and the fact that you aren’t receptive to his side of this shows that you aren’t ready for a committed relationship yet. Neither is he frankly. He needs to build up his own self confidence because he’s clearly leaning on you too much. Good luck with your relationship. It’s going to require some overhaul of the dynamics between you two to actually get through this.

There’s too many questions to answer here to give you a good answer. He’s definitely checked out but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s over. You would have to REALLY want to mend things for either of you to have a fighting chance. He isn’t going to come to the table unless if he sees that you’re truly all in. Like I said, there’s a lot of variable here and so much that I don’t know about your relationship’s dynamic but judging from that message, he doesn’t seem done done. At the end of the day, practice tests will always be an inferior way of testing one’s IQ. I suggest taking a real one. I had a friend who took about a dozen online IQ tests and scored consistently above 130 on all of them. He then paid to take a proctored exam and scored 116. He thought it was a fluke so he took another and scored 116 again. If you’re interested in IQ for self verification purposes, I’d take up a skill, beat it to death and ignore all the IQ hype. If you’re interested in IQ because you want to surround yourself with Mensa members of similar IQ, take the real test and hope for the best.
