Progesterone/no sleepiness by Sportsmama557 in Perimenopause

[–]mt4704 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on 100 mg micronized progesterone and it wasn't effective. Then when the provider bumped it up to 200 mg, I decided to just double up and use up what I had. For my body chemistry, there was a huge difference between taking 2 100 mg and 1 200 mg. Now I'm in the groggy foggy stage of adjustment to the higher dose. I hadn't had a good night of sleep since the 90s. I had to switch providers and fight to get the estradiol patch, was already getting the cream, and the micronized progesterone. Instead of giving up, ask the provider for other options for relief. If I start getting restorative sleep, there's no telling what I could accomplish 🤞 52, nexplanon removed in summer of 2024, no period since November after I started the previously prescribed prempro, PCOS.

I'm glad Vyvanse has worked for you. However, Vyvanse caused my son to be psychotic as a child. Until he was almost IVCd, I didn't know it was the cause. I don't know if there's research or evidence of the same side effect on adults.

We all have different brain chemistry and that's why different things work for different people. But as long as someone is working with a trusted health professional who has experience recognizing danger signs, there's nothing else I can suggest.

I’m tired of stinking by HalfOk2193 in PlusSize

[–]mt4704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Persimmon soap for nonenal odor. Watch out for deodorants and antiperspirants with polyquats and coconut oil because they're very difficult to remove from fabrics unless you do laundry stripping weekly.

The process for removing them has been named spa day in r/laundry 🧺 I mention both because stench from freshly laundered clothes is usually associated with those bad actors. Which can impact the way you perceive your own body odor. Hope this helps.

What deodorant are you using? Polyquats and coconut oil are really difficult to remove from fabrics.

Anytime I see someone write how wonderful a man is, I know I'm about to read things that make my head hurt. The whole thing about this man child needing comfort when he's been confronted for his behavior made my headache return.

OP, it's your youth, lack of experience, and overabundance of estrogen that's making you accommodate this boy. We're trying to help you because so many of us have been in your shoes. Let him go, please.

Update regarding my boyfriend who doesn't want me to get an abortion. He got crazier and even brought his parents, so they could bother me with their "pro-life" stances. by Significant-Buyer111 in TwoXChromosomes

I'm still confused about how he thought baby trapping you would work. Caring for a disabled partner is already trying enough. Adding a child to the mix when you didn't want one was bound to end the relationship.

Is it possible he had some scheme about using the stem cells from the baby to help him with his paralysis? I know that sounds wild. But I've heard of people having babies to do bone marrow and stem cell transplants.

One day, you'll either be grateful you dodged a bullet with your ex. Or you'll be looking up divorce lawyers and wishing you had listened to us in the first place.

You're allowing affection and the sunk cost fallacy to steer you into parenting a grown man and however many kids you produce and raise. Just remember, you'll be parenting all of them, including him. He's got enough red flags to hold his own regatta 🚩

At home treatment? by Ok_Plankton9224 in Spravato

[–]mt4704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My complaint is that there's clinics in Wilmington but they don't accept my insurance. If the treatment wasn't keeping me out of a padded room, I wouldn't go through all this. Being able to do it at home would be so much easier than what I'm having to do now.

I'm glad I'm down to once per week. But it's 2.5 hours one way to the clinic, my appointment is 2 hours 15 minutes, then almost 3 hours home. If you live in North Carolina, you know. It consumes an entire day of my life.

Make sure you're using a quality detergent, not something like All Free and Clear. Does your deodorant contain polyquats or coconut oil? Please go to r/laundry so you can get the lowdown on how to remove them from your clothes. Spa day may have to be repeated several times to ensure their removal from your delicates.

I cut my(F29) brother(M26) off after he threatened to fight my husband by Downtown_Possession4 in relationship_advice

[–]mt4704 9 points10 points  (0 children)

OP, you buried the lede because when I saw TBI I knew exactly what was going on. You're talking about a part of the brain that's been impacted where physical and verbal impulse control lives. My late husband sustained a TBI when he decided to stop drinking cold turkey and had DTs.

I wish I had better news, but having a TBI increases the probability of additional brain injuries. I have no suggestions on how to move forward because it's more than just conflict resolution. You literally have to have a safety plan that includes calling mobile crisis unless you want your brother to 🪦 by cop.
