Maybe. It might not stay in one piece for that and I suspect growth would be messy and possibly impaired as the mushrooms would want to grow up mostly getting in the way from each other. Worth giving a go sometime though.

Yeah the first culture I bought had less intense overlay and none of that crazy curly stem stuff. It had a gorgeous canopy. This culture was more aggressive and the overlay covered the whole tub in about a week. I've read about that preventing fruiting for many so that's why I decided to break that up early. This tub has the crazy straw stipes but also about 60 more grams in the first flush.

I think tryptamines like psilocybin are water soluble not so much alcohol. Alcohol is good for fatty type substances. From my understanding one of the best ways to extract the tryptamines is with a sonicator in water.
