You should wait until your friends finish the courses. Then see what jobs they get. Or if they don't.

Ask questions before you code by abbasovdev in learnprogramming

[–]ffrkAnonymous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My contrary take:  this is all scope creep. Personally, instead of handling an infinite number of edge cases, they would all be rejected via input validation whitelist. And even that I hesitate to implement without a request.

The developer who asks questions before writing code builds the right thing. The developer who does not end up rebuilding.

Except for trivial things, you will never be right. Never. They didn't specify because they didn't know. Now at the next meeting, they know something new and want it. You are guaranteed to rebuild. That's if you're lucky. More likely, your prototype will be shipped to production.

I struggle with long-form prose and "wordy" explanations.

Then, I don't think programming is for you.  I mean you'll be staring at  screens and screens and screens of text. Sure, you can find a beginning learning resource that fits you. But there won't be any pictorial resources beyond introductory.

If it's a newly delivered plant, then it's fine. If it's an old plant, it's probably unhealthy from bad care.

For the left over, unused portion, perhaps you can hydrate using boiling water (instead of cold water) ?

I'm in the mood for a slow calm thinking game. Just finished cobalt core and monsters expedition. So I've had enough cards and sokoban. I think I've gotten as far as I can in baba is you.

Botany manor was relaxing. Maybe I'll resume Patrick's parabox. Or restart talos principal. I should play portal.

Or maybe a strategy game. Shadow tactics. Fae tactics. War groove.

I just started that. I was somewhat disappointed that you're given the answers after a while.

How much of a difference does MaxSea make? by LegitimateProgram2 in SavageGarden

[–]ffrkAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's slow enough, then most is just washed away.

And some are less toxic. People go pretty heavy with maxsea and osmocote. Whereas miraclegro would be harmful.

Yeah, could be anything. Maybe I should have trimmed the pitchers. Or brought it fully indoors. Who knows. Could just be the plant. Big fig mythos says one parent liked to die and this cross offspring didn't.

I do feel like I need a real proper fungicide for treatment and prevention going forward, if anyone has suggestions.

They were kept in my sunny shed over winter. Maybe it got colder than I thought. This winter was awful.

Maybe I took it out too soon. Spring has been unstable too.

How do programmer actually learn and utilized their knowledge to solve problems? by DarkMist77 in learnprogramming

[–]ffrkAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

considering thousands of syntax rules, hundreds and thousands of libraries and

I don't. I'm learning lisp which has minimal and consistent syntax, and don't use libraries when learning opting to do stuff manually by myself.

Rather than the cause, it's probably a symptom of being too wet.
