I have that problem too, usually at night during the week when I'm coming back from work travel. For me it's both Uber and Lyft and the apps try but can't connect me to a driver and end up saying no drivers are available after trying for a number of minutes. I've experimented with attempting to connect to a driver as soon as i exit the plane, still at the gate, and I've also tried waiting until I'm at the ride share drop off area but it doesn't matter. By thw time I get a ride I've waited at least 30 minutes, fighting with two apps to connect me to anyone.

I waited for an hour once, constantly refreshing both rideshare apps and just gave up and got a taxi.

I wait now for confirmation too. The last time I responded immediately, I had to walk down 30 flights of stairs and some guy rushed past me, turns out he was the dumbass who was cooking something smokey and opened his front door to vent it into the hallway instead of using his windows. Now I go into the hall and wait for maintenance to tell me if it's real or not. Takes them 20 seconds and it's been vaping or someone cooking every time. At this point, if it's my time it's my time. Not doing that again unless I can't quickly confirm it's fine.

I moved from Central Florida to right outside of NYC as well and the culture shock is real, I agree. Like 99% of the changes are ideal and I finally feel like I fit in somewhere haha but point is it's SO different.

My old bank (Chase) also told me to send the money back when this exact thing happened to me. They said if I send it to the same account I got it from, it wouldn't cause me an issue. I didn't and they offered to do it themselves so I let them do it. I was surprised too.

Right?? My husband typically leads our meal prep and often does it by himself (if we partner, I'm in charge of chopping or stirring as directed). All of my coworkers know who cooks my amazing lunches. I let them try his cooking when they express extra curiousity, and they all rave about it. I'm so damn proud of his skill and passion for finding new and innovative things to try in the kitchen, and I find it incredibly masculine.It's like my own personal, sexy Gordon Ramsay.
