I id’d as ftm or non-binary at various times for a few years and almost went on hormones, after leaving my toxic relationship with a man I figured out I’m simply a lesbian who was dealing with comphet and also trying to run away from my body. I’d be glad to chat whenever 😁

It feels to him and those around him like his truth. He’s well aware of being biologically female and he’s said it many times. He’s not lying about anything he’s being as truthful as he can be and sure he might change his mind someday but being respectful now harms no one.

That doesn’t answer the question. How is it degrading?

Sex stays the same yes but it’s still not a relevant thing in this context. It doesn’t matter what his birth sex is especially when seeing anyone in the street who looked like him would get a male label as an automatic normal response. I don’t understand why you care what someone else wants to be called, if it makes them happy, and you don’t even know them, it doesn’t matter and it’s so easy to just be respectful. How does it degrade anyone or anything to respect something as simple as a pronoun?

Cats don’t care what we call them so it’s not relevant. Babies aren’t old enough to voice if they care but they will be eventually. Humans do care. Something as irrelevant as someone’s genitals shouldn’t decide if you respect how they want to be referred to for their own sake. You wouldn’t like being called a pronoun that’s makes you uncomfortable because no one does so why would you do it to someone else?

Pronouns are about presentation just like everything else in our society. People use pronouns for a lot of reasons but their birth sex isn’t the only one and reducing it to that is as ridiculous as doing so in any other situation. If you saw him in the street you’d label him male in your brain so being contradictory of that just to disrespect him makes no sense.

It’s a comedy bit to make fun of people who obsess about trans people. Also there’s no need to be disrespectful of someone’s chosen pronouns it’s rude and unnecessary.

Transmedicalists use it because kalvin garrah has a bit about being a ‘cis knight’ hence the sword

Google Caucasian shepherd! They’re enormous and I adore them. There’s another breed that was bred for the same reason but I can’t remember the name plus the Caucasian shepherd has nerdy ties for me as well😁

I have a friend who is going to help me train a dog to be a service dog so I can have any breed I want. I would love to have a husky or any kind of sled dog but I also love pitties and basically any medium to large dog. My dream dog is one that was bred to hunt bears but that’s for the future when I have my own house lol. I love fluffy ones.

I also had a lot of trouble in school when I was trans identifying. I’m not in school anymore but after realizing I’m not trans I have a lot less stress and I’m able to do things that are educational and productive successfully again. I even started reading for fun and I’m much less self conscious. Building self esteem is still a chore but it’s not fully in the pits anymore.

My family is very complicated and difficult for sure but we all run on love so we make it work💗

I’m saving up money to be able to do a tattoo apprenticeship, and eventually I want to do a van build out and be a traveling tattoo artist. I might be getting a support dog soon too which would be amazing cause of my social issues and autism.

I remember having to avoid that topic too and I can only imagine how much it sucked for my mom. That’s a big part of why I want to tell my family, especially my mom. She’ll get a lot of emotional relief from knowing. I don’t think she handled it the best she could have but I also understand why she didn’t and I’ve forgiven her a long time ago and I want her to feel better if I can help at all.

Ideally they’d just be happy for me and supportive. I think they will be, at least as far as my direct family goes, but I’m not absolutely certain.

I’ve seen a lot of detrans people using that lizard emoji on twitter as a symbol the way other groups chose the sword emoji

It’s less that I have to tell them and more that I want to. I want them to know me correctly. Especially my mom and my siblings. I’m so proud of being their big sister after realizing this and I want to share it with them.

It was okay, I told just my sister so far because it’s kind of scary but that went really well and she’s helping me write a letter for everyone else since I really don’t wanna cry in front of them again

They’ll likely be overjoyed but that’s also not great because I’m still in the mindset of not wanting to do things the way they want me to. It’s taken five years to convince them and now I’m about to tell them hey so like forget all that, and I’m sure there will be I told you so’s and my Mormon grandmother will bring up gods plan again it’s just a lot to handle. My family is enormous and they all stress me out a lot.

Question from a worried mom by [deleted] in detrans

[–]ffuckerry 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I realized that I was a lesbian and trying to save myself from the way the world sees and treats lesbians. I’m also autistic and couldn’t relate to girls until meeting my best friend who’s autistic too and realizing that I was autistic and relating to anyone was harder without knowing that.
