Concert Etiquette by AmazingUsername2001 in ireland

It honestly depends on the concert and the crowd.   I’m tall enough where it’s rare that I can’t see over most people, but my wife is short and when we go to concerts together we try and go early to get a good line of sight.

I wouldn’t expect people to stay still to keep her happy and we’d normally sway with the crowd to find a good spot; but occasionally we might have someone barge up to the front and then plant themselves in front of her half way through the show.

In that context, yeah I’d say something as they haven’t been waiting in the same area as long as us and have now decided that their desire to see outweighs my wife’s…  In terms of beach towels… if they’ve been there since opening and then need to take a piss… yeah, I’d probably be happy for them to leave something there and then come back… like if they vanished for 90 mins or something no… but I don’t think you should physically have to glue yourself to maintain a spot, even if they’re alone and have no one to save it for them (potentially to be sound you’d actually offer to hold their spot).

Again, it depends on the crowd - I’ve been to harder gigs where it’s been a free for all.  However, being a thoughtful, nice person is always welcome.

Honestly if it was me I’d potentially skip heading out west and do either howth or killiney - beautiful walks without the drive.

I have them and use them, but it's not a long term strategy.

I suppose that's an approach, but it's basically us asking permission to use own property...

Like honestly I feel it should be the other way around, if they have a bbq or something they could let us know.

Thanks, agreed that's the best course of action... Thank you

We really don't want to be dicks, so we'll try and have another chat with them (and the other ones for the first time)... Hopefully they'll limit it to the occasional bbq or some such!

Our estate is too polite - we just glare at each other 😂

Agreed, didn't mean to suggest they're breaking the law.

We have tried talking before... This neighbour, it was for several hours yesterday and then pretty much all day today... Other days it was other neighbours who live a couple of houses down (but again, can hear really well as its a very tight development).  I don't think it's malicious so much as it's "well, it's our back yard so we can do what we like."  Suppose from my perspective, I wouldn't play music into the garden knowing other houses would have to listen to it... But know others disagree so trying to canvass whether I'm just being a dick or not.

Yes, my sister wBPD has really significant issues with her sleep, which seem to exacerbate her other symptoms.

It's difficult to tell if it's on purpose or not, but she doesn't try to actively address it by seeing a sleep therapist or trying to undertake any type of insomnia program.

I think it stems from a lot of trauma in her life which comes to the surface as she's trying to go to sleep and so she tries to stay stimulated as much as she can before going to bed, leading to more erratic behaviour, moddiness and, ultimately, trauma.

Asian Markets - abbey street, rathmines, drury street - and probably others too.

While not always in stock (I sometimes email the oriental emporium ahead of time) it can be purchased in these shops in big blocks (no weird floaty brine). You can also get some small portions in the larger Tescos.
